Buddha is our up and coming herdsire and boy are we excited! When we chose the breeding of Buddha's dam Ice's Sugar Shack (a Snowmass Ice Dancer daughter) to the one and only Pucara Kahuna (Light Herdsire of the year 2009/2010/2011) we were pretty excited as we knew Kahuna would stamp his classic fleece and conformation traits on this cria, and we were right! Buddha was simply beautiful as a Juvie with the classic Kahuna head, fleece coverage down to his toes and blinding luster. Buddha did very well at the 2 very competitive shows we entered him in last year and wished we could have entered him in more shows in 2012, but time did not allow, however we did show him at the CABA Classic where he took a respectable 3rd behind Pucara International. Now that he's been sheared, boy are we thrilled at how his fleece is growing in, great locking, beautiful luster and fineness throughout...he looks incredible and he knows it! UPDATE: In 2015, Buddha gave us a beautiful little girl Shalamar who took 1st at the 2016 CABA Classic. We had her biopsied and she has a density of 75.25...WOW! Sadly, we lost Buddha in December of 2018. Zoltar had an impressive show career, earning numerous Judges' Choice and Color banners, as well as titles for Best Hand and Best Lock. At the Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show, he won the Light Male Color Champion title for two consecutive years in 2019 and 2020, and he received Judges' Choice at the 2020 AOA National Fleece Show. Zoltar's EPD rankings and histograms are consistently outstanding. At just 3 years old, his skin biopsy results are impressive with a density of 71.8 follicles per square millimeter, secondary average fiber diameter (AFD) of 18.7 microns and a primary AFD of 22.2 microns, resulting in a spread of 3.5 microns. If you want to improve the uniformity of your herd, these are the genetics you should invest in. Goldstar's Zoltar is the son of Lazy G's Accoyo Goldstar. He has won 19 Get of Sires awards, including three at Nationals, two at The Futurity, and one at the Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show. Since at least 2012, Goldstar has successfully passed on his Full Accoyo genetics to his offspring, leading to the production of champions and earning his first Get of Sire championship that year. Zoltar’s dam features impressive genetics in her pedigree, showcasing remarkable lineage that includes renowned Accoyo herdsires such as Inca, Bruxo, MacGyver, Uribe, and Accoyo Gold. Her offspring demonstrate that Zarina is an excellent producer, having had four high-quality crias, each sired by different males.
