Lineage Silver Monte is the son of Onyx and Fun in the Country’s Liquid Silver. Both dam and sire have amazing, high-quality lineages that dominate the show ring. Liquid Silver is a multi-champion with six banners to his name. Onyx’s sire Fun in the Country’s Superman is a Color Champion with 25+ ribbons and banners. Phenotype As young Monte matures, he is following after the strong men in his background. He looks very much like his sire in both coloring and conformation. He has a strong, alpaca show stance and looks proud in the paddock. He has a beautiful full fleece face that is complemented by his sweet personality. Color Genotype: EE a3a2 Silver Monte’s ASIP alleles show he has a black allele in both locations. His MC1R alleles show he has no dilution. This genotype combination tells us he cannot produce light colored offspring. He will produce offspring that are dark fawn or darker, with a tendency for darker colors.
