His grandsire, Sunset Hills Farm Andean Gold, is just a perfect example of an alpaca that has it all, and the judges agree awarding him 13 blue ribbons and eight banners. In fact he took the first AFCNA fleece award at the 2006 AOBA national show beating out younger and lighter colored fleeces. His great grandsire, 382 Peruvian Zephyrus, is one of Sunset Hills Farm Alpacas top herdsires! An 8x Color Champion male who has produced several Champion offspring in almost every color. His other great grandsire, Peruvian Victor, was the youngest male that arrived in the Peruvian importation of 1994, and in the words of the late Dr. Jim Vickers, had the “most beautiful” fleece and was the only alpaca in that importation that ranked as a 4+ in fleece.
