AVEREGAN'S MAGNUS

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Fawn
AOA# 35261582, CLAA# CAN46836DOB: 6/17/20159 yrs
Magnus has done so much for us! He has been a cornerstone in our breeding program, improving every female he was bred to and producing Champions like no other males to date did for us. 6x Champion and 2x Best in Show – both in fleece and halter – Magnus is quite the package. In fleece show, he scored 89/100. Not to shabby in my opinion! He is a solid and stunning macho. His fleece is incredibly dense, shiny and well defined. His sire is Xanadu P Resolute, a male that made a tremendous impact in the Eastern Canadian industry. His dam is a Cimmaron Gold Legend daughter that produced 4x Supreme Champion Averegan’s Merida. Magnus shares almost the exact genetics as 7x Black Champion Averegan’s Aftershock, another Resolute x Cimmaron Gold Legend cross. The best way to judge the potential of a herdsire is by his progeny, and frankly Magnus did deliver. His progeny has great well-built conformations with solid bones and dispositions. Fleece-wise, they are all an improved version of their dams’ fleece. Producing crias from white to black and grey that are having fleeces as fine as 14.2 microns (Anrhumé – WH) with outstanding staple length and fleece weight, add to that crimp from skin to tip and great shine. His very first cria, Nyla of Peterboro, won the Combined Brown Colour Champion title in Fall 2019. Since then, Magnus has produced Champions in every colour, from white to black and grey. In fleece shows, his progeny reached up to 86.5/100 and culminated titles of "Judge's Choice", “Best Crimp” and “Best Brightness”! His black daughter, Miss Andean Shadow du DNA, is a 4x Champion that scored up to 79/100 – a score rarely given to blacks in Canada. As a bonus, our first generation of Magnus daughters are now producing Champions! Any breeders that want to improve their performances in the showings, the conformation on their animals and increase their production of quality fleeces should consider Averegan’s Magnus as their next herdsire. Don’t miss this chance to improve your herd! Colour genotype: Ee Aa1

DAME ALLURE DU DNA

HuacayaBred (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 30718920, CLAA# CAN47198DOB: 7/26/20168 yrs
She might not look like much; this girl is one of our best producers! Dame Allure du DNA has been throwing it out of the park year after year with her offspring. Allure has done very well in fleece shows winning 3 Championships. Her fleece is a real pleasure for both eyes and hands. She passes on her superb fleece style with highly aligned crimp, density and uniformity producing winners time after time. With Tiger Lily Conopa’s Smoak, Allure has produced 2x Reserve Champion Noble Awaited Heritage du DNA & 1st place winner Miss Alouette du DNA. When paired with Averegan’s Magnus, she produced Noble Aviator du DNA, Judge’s Choice & 4x Champion. Her 2024 female, Miss Alliance du DNA, earned an automatic spot in our foundation herd, simply spectacular fleece on this female! Colour genotype: ee a2a3

Description

Sometimes, breeding is all about finding the right combination of genetics. In our breeding program, one of our most successful crosses involves pairing Averegan’s Magnus with our ARA Chananza daughters. Aviator boasts an incredible fleece that does justice to this genetic combination! Dense, bright, organized, and long-stapled, he has inherited all the best traits from his 3x Champion dam, Dame Allure du DNA, and 6x Champion sire, Magnus. His fleece is truly something special, reminiscent of his maternal sibling, 2x Reserve Champion Awaited Heritage. When it comes to his physique, Aviator takes after his dam. He is well-grown and robust. Unfortunately for him, headstyle plays a crucial role in selecting a herdsire for our own breeding program. Thus, even though the fleece is *all there*, he won’t be finding a role in our breeding program. That said, his body proportions are well-balanced, and I see no reason why he wouldn’t be a great addition to a farm focused on producing a high yield of spectacular fleeces without emphasis on headstyles...
