TAG SHADDOW

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Silver Grey

Shaddow's crias area all healthy with beautiful fleeces, are good looking and crimpy with very good density and fineness and uniform with minimal guard hair. He has not disappointed with any of his offspring. He was shown as a two year old and earned 3 first place ribbons and 3 second place ribbons. He has very correct conformation and movement. His fleece is huge, bright and beautiful...very dense and long fleece with soft handle and aligned, high definition crimp year after year!. He lives with all my other males and is the alpha of the group. Excellent bloodlines: Danko, Carbon Copy, Jacob Black, Royal Fawn, Lancaster, 5P Camelot.

KCAF Rincon's Nova Rosa

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 32792690DOB: 1/19/201410 yrs
Second place behind Crescent Moon's Breathtaking. Rosa got the best from both of her parents. She has a Res. Champion dam from the P. Andrajo and Snowmass Nova lines and her sire is AOBA Nationals champion Rincon Cloud. Her fleece has excellent uniformity, density, crimp, brightness and fineness. She has correct phenotype, conformation and movement with an adorable face and a sweet disposition. She's sweet-natured, smart, energetic and precocious and from our best dam line for overall quality, reliability/productivity and heavy lactation. With Rincon sold and leaving the state, I had to do my Rincon breeding during winter. Fast forward...I knew Rosa was going to be born soon (she was trying to get out for days!) and first thing in the morning I went to check on the dam and there was Rosa, mostly dry and walking around like a princess in mid-January. She weighed 19 pounds at birth and 24 pounds at six days old. Her Reserve Champion dam, Carmelina, was out of my blue ribbon winner Trufflina (beat P. Microsoft, judge: Julie Skinner) who was the mirror-image of her sire, P. Andrajo (Alianza), and who gave us 13 crias with the best IgG's and weight gains imaginable. Trufflina was just about soley responsible for most of the best alpacas we now have in our herd. Carmelina is indefinite and the image of her handsome sire, Nova's Nuance, who was owned by Lona Frank (Tualatin Valley Alpacas) and Mary Jaffee (Skyline Alpacas). Nuance's sire is Snowmass Nova, sired by Snowmass Casanova whose sire is P. Bueno (Alianza import). [The Bueno bloodline, in my opinion, is one of the best if not the best bloodline to own as a breeder. There is remarkable consistency and overall reliability in his descendants.] Rosa's breeding to Shak for 2024 won't produce a gray, but these two alpacas and their pedigrees are extremely complimentary.

Description

2024...I was so close to taking this girl to the shows, but I want a little more in fleece attributes to put into the ring and was already taking seven alpacas. Sometimes I judge my own alpacas too harshly and it can be challenging to assess fleeces in our damp, wet weather prior to showing. These fine fleece melt in the rain and when the sun comes out they sweat and that melts the crimp too. In the end, I have to go with my gut instincts...a very tough decision as she is show quality in bone, proportions, conformation. bite and coverage, but her tui fleece seems to have a little less definition than her cria fleece. Her 2024 maiden breeding to Jive Talkin' will produce a fabulous cria....take a look at his cria's fleeces on his page and see the 4.7 SD in Lena's histogram??? ...J.T. will lower the SD and improve fineness, brightness and crimp and that will be an offspring to go to the shows. See our Rocky Rose (LRG) as an example. Lena comes from my original (1997) maternal line hailing from a P. Andrajo (a white Alianza import) daughter (Trufflina...my first alpaca and a blue ribbon winner) and some very heavy milkers who can put one pound daily gains on their newborns. The Andrajo line also produced some very famous grays for other well known breeders. Lena has a very dense, long, and high definition pigmented gray fleece. Her cria fleece weight is just the blanket and weighs about 25% above average. Correct conformation, great coverage, big boned, dense, crimpy fleece. Spunky but easy to manage. Solid pedigree and sells with a breeding to Jive Talkin...see his offspring's fleece pics on his page. Note, Lena Nova has three doses of Danko for a total of 3/16. Jive Talkin will add the famous Snomass Matrix and Xxxtreme, Matador, Black Magic, Jeremiah and Sizlin lines and so they will no doubt make stunning crias. Please take a look at Isla Mae's fleece if you want to know what to expect...she's by Jive Talkin' out of Imogene, another Shaddow daughter with a dense, fine, tightly crimped silver fleece.
