HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 35109198DOB: 9/1/20168 yrs
Shaddow's crias area all healthy with beautiful fleeces, are good looking and crimpy with very good density and fineness and uniform with minimal guard hair. He has not disappointed with any of his offspring. He was shown as a two year old and earned 3 first place ribbons and 3 second place ribbons. He has very correct conformation and movement. His fleece is huge, bright and beautiful...very dense and long fleece with soft handle and aligned, high definition crimp year after year!. He lives with all my other males and is the alpha of the group. Excellent bloodlines: Danko, Carbon Copy, Jacob Black, Royal Fawn, Lancaster, 5P Camelot.

Dam: KCAF Martha Merlowe

She's a keeper.

KCAF Martha Merlowe

HuacayaBred (Female)Medium Brown
AOA# 35568612DOB: 7/4/20186 yrs
In 2023, Merlowe produced a beige daughter with a fabulous fleece; sire is our Majestic's Peruvian Champ. Merlowe's other daughter, our Shiraz, a true black sired by our TAG Shaddow, also has a fabulous fleece with staying power...silky, super brightness, crimpy, uniform and fine with minimal guard hair. Merlowe's parents had two of the best fleeces we've ever produced. The Constantino / Snowmass Rroyal Fox crosses give great results and so I very much look forward to what this lovely maroon female will produce. Her fleece is still lovely Fall 2023. Truly beautiful uniform fleece on this typey maroon female who also has a silly personality and an even disposition making her very easy to manage. Born on Independence Day. Sire Constantino and maternal grandsire, S. RRoyal Fox, are champions from large shows. Check out Travelin' Man (TB) for a very close relative who won blue against top competitors.

Champion siring national champions!

Crescent Moon's Sizzlin Shak

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Dark Fawn
AOA# 35464518DOB: 5/24/20177 yrs
We are grateful to Crescent Moon Ranch for putting Sizzin' Shak in the CABA/AWE 2023 auction. Our Shak crias are due beginning July 2024. They will be from tried and true pedigree combinations. Shak is a calm male with a gentle nature. His production record is fantastic. He has sired multiple champion offspring and they display the whole package of excellence...type, conformation, density, consistent character, uniformity...did we say dense?...coverage and extreme uniform fineness...with good bites. As of spring 2023, Shak has 22 AOA registered offspring with show placings as follows for second place or better: One placed second. Four received firsts. Two earned RCs and four earned CHs. So ten of his 22 offspring thus far, have placed first or better. Sizzlin Shak is a paternal half brother to Red Granites' Val D Lsere. Daughter, Woop De Doo, received female color championship at 2022 AOA. Son, Paulinus, received male color championship at 2023 AOA. Son, Anerobico, received male color championship and Judge's Choice at CABA. Shak is available for limited breedings to approved females. Co-owned with La Finca Alpacas and Alpacas of Pachamama.

Description

Beautiful female with a lovely and exceptionally soft and very crimpy non-fading fleece. She has a couple gray spots. Her pedigree goes back to one of our first, and best, alpaca lines...Trufflina (Sire: P. Andrajo. Truffy was born in 1997 and we purchased her in 1998) and also includes well know lines from Carbon Copy / Jacob Black, Lancaster / Conan, 5P Camelot, Danko (2x), Snowmass Royal Bronze, Black Epic/5P Black Magic and Aussie Rockford / Hannaruh. Shiraz's pedigree also goes back to...all the way at the bottom of her pedigree...alpacas from Pine Lake Alpacas (PLA...WA state - retired) where we purchased our first alpacas back in 1997. PLA was one of the first breeders of alpacas in the US. PLA's Siddhartha was registered in 1984, is the oldest of PLA's alpacas, and appears on Shiraz's pedigree. PLA had a small program of high quality alpacas.
