Eyota is one of the last of his kind. Being linebred Hemingway is a guarantee to infuse persistent fineness into your breeding program. There hasn't been a major white/light breeding program that didn't rise to the top without his genetic influence. There were only a few breeding programs in Peru that were focused on improving fineness and density to the degree that the the Allianza coop Hemingway came from. Hemingway came in on the first Peruvian importation and wasn't much of a "looker" and didn't get much attention early on. This was pre EPD's and it took a couple generations later that his impact on AFD became obvious. By then his breeding book was closed and the only way to get his genetics was through his offspring.

Description

Epic is one of our first, 5th Generation Stargazer Bred and Owned cria crop. This generation are among the best we've produced. As you can see with his COI he would have much use in breeding to his close relatives in our herd. But that COI also indicates prepotency. He will be able to pass on his genetics at a higher heritability rate and a great advantage when outcrossed. Epic has an top quality and balanced EPD profile of any male at that level of quality. The strengths he'll bring to your breeding program are persistent fineness, Increased staple length, along with advanced follicular bundling and density. His pedigree shows generation after generation moving toward the goal of persistent fineness, density and staple length. At this level of homozygosity his heritability rate to pass on these qualities increases and likely to be dominant when outcrossed to unrelated females. He's a nice boy and ready to go to work at a new address as he's way too related for our girls.
