Thank you to Diane Sheesley of Rainbow Mountain Alpacas for being a co-owner of this spectacular appy male! Fusion is now residing and standing stud at her farm in Punxsutawney, PA. We were excited to purchase this beautiful male from the well-respected grey suri breeding program at Shasta Springs Alpacas. Fusion is definitely "eye candy", and when you see him you will want to breed to him, too. He has a gentle nature, strong solid conformation, and exquisite appaloosa coloring. He continues to get darker and darker in coloration with each shearing like his sire, who is now a dark grey in color. He is a large, weighing in at 185 lbs. He was shorn at 1 year old, and his 1st fleece weighed 6 lbs. with a 3.4 lb blanket, and was 9" in length. It has been shown and won Reserve Champion Grey Suris at the 2012 Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show, the largest suri fleece show in the world! Diana Timmerman, AOA Fleece Judge for the Suri Network, commented that his "Fleece is showing good luster and softness for a grey." While greys and appaloosas/harlequins are not renowned for their fleece characteristics, Fusion placed 2nd in the 2019 MAPACA Jubilee Halter Show behind WLK Electrofyre for the Get of Sire Production Class. He also placed 4th in the 2017 AOA National Fleece Show Get of Sire Production Class for the stellar results of his offspring. It is rare for a grey/appaloosa to place high in this class! Fusion had 8 crias born in 2016, producing 4 males and 4 females, producing 75% appaloosas from a variety of color dams! Check out his crias: Kazmere (m, appy), JackKnife (m, appy), Harley Quinn (m, harlequin), Vanity (f, appy), Prismatic (f, appy), Quinn (m, solid color), Tootsie Pop (f, solid color), and Ebony's cria (f, appy). WRSR Zanzibar by Fusion, his latest 2022 appy cria is a beautiful harlequin appy male. Fusion has had 25 crias to date as of 5/9/25, with 20 of them showing appy phenotype. He has produced appaloosas/harlequins from W, BGMB, DB, all silver or rose greys, and pinto dams. His 20% of crias not showing the appy phenotype were 2 WH from pinto dams, 2 MB from a TB and DRG dams, and 1 BG from a pinto dam. Recommendation: Breed Fusion to any color dam except TB, BB, or pinto to optimize your odds for an appy cria. Fusion is now co-owned by Diane Sheesley at Rainbow Mountain Farms in Punxatawney, PA where he is standing stud. Fusion appears to be sensitive to very hot weather when his fertility declines. He his a big, healthy boy, but needs to breed in cooler weather. For more Information call Diane Sheesley at 814-952-2306 or Patti Anderson at 443-740-4240

Amazing grey fleece!

Winchester's Wild Rose Patches

SuriOpen (Female)Medium Silver Grey

What a surprise! Patches popped out as a light fawn with some speckles and spots, but by the time she was 6 months old, her topline was showing a beautiful light grey. She has been a winner from day 1, and dominates the fleece shows with her fineness and uniformity. Patches is a 3X Fleece Champion at the largest suri shows in the country, and was even awarded 1st Place at the 2009 AOBA World Fleece Show. She produces a uniform grey fleece with notable fineness and consistency. The color is a beautiful bronzed silver grey, and is gorgeous when spun into yarn. Patches is a smaller female, weighing only 130 lb in good condition. However, she births easily, has lots of milk, is a great mother, and is truly a treasured foundation dam for Wild Rose. Patches delivered a beautiful harlequin cria in 2014, WRSR Pepper Dot by Coalossus, and as she turned 1 year old, her fleece grew out a dark silver grey. She still has spots on her face and legs, making her very showy and flashy, just like her mom, Patches. Patches was bred to Shasta Springs Fusion and delivered a beautiful appy male cria, WRSR JackKnife by Fusion, on August 5, 2016. He has beautiful distinct dark fawn spots on a silver grey base - gorgeous! She was bred to Fusion for a May 2018 cria, and delivered another stunning appaloosa female on 6/6/18, "WRSR Sweet Spot by Fusion". She looks very similar to Pepper Dot and is a light silver grey with spots. Patches was been rebred to Fusion for a May 2022 cria and we were excited to see a beautiful dark harlequin appy males, WRSR Zanzibar by Fusion. Patches was retired from breeding in the fall of 2022. She has produced beautiful crias and been an exceptional suri alpaca with a sweet personality. Contact Patti at 443-740-4240 for more information or to schedule a visit to see the alpaca.

3rd generation grey!

Description

I knew Zanzibar was special when he was born on my birthday! He is the product of 2 of my favorite alpacas, Fusion and Patches. This is the last cria for Patches as she was retired in fall 2022 after producing beautiful grey/appy offspring for the past 14 years. His coloring is gorgeous, with a dark silver grey base and miscellaneous spots al over his body. Check out the spots on his face! Zanzibar is a 3rd generation appaloosa and spectacular coloring. His personality is easy-going and curious, and is a bit of a rabble-rouser with the other crias. He is growing up nicely but will be more the size of his dam around 130 lb when full-grown. After his juvenile fleece was shorn, he sports the true harlequin colors of dark silver grey, almost black on his body and spots on his head, ears, legs, and belly. This guy should be a great producer of color especially when bred to white. Zanzibar made his debut in the showring Spring 2023. At his first show, he won two First Place Ribbons at the Carolina Show in February. He competed at the 2024 Buckeye Show and won 1st Place in the new "Roan" color class. He is growing up as a beautiful dark grey harlequin appy herdsire! Zanzibar has been bred and we expect a cria in August 2025! Contact Patti at 443-740-4240.
