Sound the horns!! Here at Promised Land Alpacas we have specialized in full Peruvian Black and Greys for years. Many of which have gone on to become “not for sale” foundation males and females at high end farms and ranches across the country. Well – now the day has come….we have just created hands down the BEST FULL PERUVIAN ¾ ACCOYO TRUE BLACK we have ever made!!! We are supremely confident that he will be the next big thing. Attitude really has it all. His genetics are alarmingly amazing. His dam is our foundation female Royal Victoria, who is out of arguably the best brown female ever imported - 5Peruvian Victoria Rose and the incomparable Accoyo Royal Fawn. His Sire is the one and only Accoyo Michelangelo – who may be the densest alpaca we have on record according to his skin biopsy. Both parents have produced umpteen champion offspring and let’s just say when it comes to Attitude, we think they have both out done themselves. This boy has what we would call white quality fleece, but in an inky true black color. He is has all things to the nth degree – density, fineness, character, uniformity, brightness, and excellent handle. His conformation is stellar. He is rock solid, heavy bone, ideal proportions with full coverage. Attitude has a full sister, PLF Peruvian Ancora Imparto (we lovingly call her Cora) who is the most outastanding fawn female we have ever produced. Cora is a multichampion with a Judge’s Choice Award to boot. We were so blown away with Cora that we did the breed back for another Cora and got well…Awesomeness in Attitude. Both of these alpacas are truly Elite. Attitude started his show career with banners in his first three shows! He has now started his breeding career with three girls settled. WOW! Sire of TWINS! And two of his 2024 crias HAVE COLOR! This handsome male checks all the boxes! Hailing from the high desert of Oregon, Royal comes from the elite Flying Dutchman herd. He stayed in breeder and AOA judge Amanda V’s sire lineup for several years, where he put three crias on the ground and was a featured sire on the 2021 EWD pen sale website, but she offered him to us at the 2022 EWD event, in hopes that we can use him more. We are in honored to have him in our herd. Royal has a lovely fleece for an older male with a uniform character, soft handle, and a good staple length; he had enough staple length at 9 YEARS OLD that he could still go to a show! I double checked his staple length because I just did not believe it! Whenever I have him caught, I just can’t help but feel his fiber; it’s soft and inviting to run my hands over, like feeling a thick, warm blanket or gorgeous sweater. He slipped from the top 5% EPDs in 2021 to the top 10% for 2023, but he can still benefit a lot of females out there, and he has two full sisters still in the top 1%. Looking at his histogram, for an 8+ year old male, it’s pretty good…and I bet he was very, very good when he was young, which is how he stayed at FDA until he was 8 years old. 2024 is pending. His 2024 fleece is in the IFA show at Nationals. We adore his bold personality; he’s absolutely fearless over obstacles. We can point him at any obstacle or situation and he handles it with aplomb. He finished 6th in his very first show over obstacles! Amanda characterized him as “just cool” and she is not wrong. He’s a ton of fun. Colton and I both handle him with ease, and he is happy to wear costumes, hats, and other ridiculousness for our amusement. Royal can be a little difficult with some of our other males at times, but he knows he is royalty and thinks the rest should know it too! Royal has a solid strong physique with correct conformation. He offers bone, depth, and breadth to lines that may need a little more capacity. I can think of several popular east coast lines that would benefit from his solidity. 10% of all stud fees will be donated to Quechua Benefit, a cause near and dear to our hearts here at HCF. We will also be saving to send Gavin to judging school when he is old enough. NOW is your chance to get some of these elite genetics in your herd before anyone else has them! This is the only active breeding male with these genetics in the US outside of FDA at this time. Jump on this price before it goes up! Announcing that he had been bred to FIVE females for May and June crias!

Description

I co-own this lovely lady with colleagues Drs. Ed and Ruthann McCaslin. We are looking forward to doing some linebreeding with her back to Caligula and PCA Accoyo El Niño, as she is a Michelangelo granddaughter. We will breed Finale later this year to either Royal or Snow for a spring 2024 cria, once our genotyping is complete. She has been a fantastic mother to her previous crias, with plenty of milk. Unfortunately, she slipped her 2022 pregnancy, and we opted to not breed her in the fall. I love her big rangy body style and her striking gray color, with that gorgeous silver gray base. I’d like to see some more density, coverage, and style to her fiber, as well as a more correct bite, and hopefully the Rembrandts can add that for us! Pregnant and due in May/June of 2024!
