Xanadu Gabrial

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 35507642DOB: 7/5/20186 yrs
This beautiful multiple banner winner has joined Hidden Acres. His sire, Xanadu P Aristide, has taken home 37 CC, RC and 1st place ribbons. This should in itself describe how exceptional this male is, and his offspring have been just as defining as him. Gabrial’s dam, Snowmass Messiah’s Angel has won produce of dam in 2011. The judge’s remarks at his last show was that he “easily is in 1st place. He has a knockout fleece with a luxurious handle due to the uniformity of the fleece. He demonstrates excellent architecture and staple, great brightness, and long staple for the growth period. The architecture of the crimp is very high amplitude, very solid frame and true to type Huacaya head”. At Txolan 2021, Gabrial received a blue ribbon, Color Champion and Best Crimp! Take a look at his breathtaking fleece! His MFD is 15.7, CF 99.8, MSL 112.6mm @ 9 months! WOW! This outstanding male, has the capability and genetics to continue his parent’s legacy. *** Gabe’s genes are passive and had sired colorful cria: bay black, dark fawn, light fawn, and white *** I’m extremely pleased with this guy, as I initially thought he would be an outstanding addition to our light breeding program, but as it turns out, he passes color! Contact us today to reserve a breeding to this incredible male!

Easy keeper!

Xanadu P Haven One

HuacayaOpen (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 32268027DOB: 7/26/201113 yrs
Summer 2024 - we are retiring Haven so she is looking for a relaxing place to call home where she can just graze out her retirement days. While she is an excellent mother, we feel as a small breeder with limited pasture space, it makes more sense to focus on next generations, such as her daughter, Gabbie, for breeding purposes. She would be an excellent aunt or companion for others in a pasture. She is an easy keeper and easy to handle. _________________ Summer 2023 - it's a bouncing baby boy for Haven and we aren't even disappointed - after all, this is a Haven x Oro offspring! Yay!! _________________ Haven is a treasure we picked up from a wonderful farm in TX. She has an amazing record of offspring and brings the diversity and rockstar maternal instincts that we look for in a foundation female. Even at the age of almost 12, Haven still has EPDs in the top 15%. Yeah, she is that kind of girl. All of her previous cria were blue ribbon and/or banner winners, Haven’s 3rd cria was sold to a farm in Poland! Haven passes on the service sire’s distinguished characteristics, which places them as winners in the show ring. She’s an easy birther, a heavy milker, an all-around great mom, and an amazing member of our foundation herd. Haven is currently bred to Oro to see if we can bring color out in her next offspring, and we are very excited for the arrival of this little one. We have no doubt that she will continue her extraordinary legacy with this next cria.

Description

**Summer 2024 - Quickly turning into one of my favorites, I try NOT to envision what the future holds for this female. She has an abundance of fleece, a strong frame, a laid back personality and is such an easy keeper that I forget that I even have her out there grazing quietly in the pastures. I know I can't keep them all. I struggle to decide who to breed her to because genetically she lines up so nicely with SO MANY males. Decisions, decisions... ________________ They say that you aren’t supposed to have favorites, right. Well this little princess rises to the top of our list quickly, and not just because she is adorable. Gabbie certainly has curb appeal – but look past her cuteness and you will see a picture-perfect conformation. She stands square and moves fluidly and has a true-to-type Huacaya head style. Her fleece is what really captures you – buttery soft, and eye-popping architecture that is consistent from tip to skin everywhere. The characteristics of this fleece are amazingly fine and dense – creating an obvious solidity in the staples when the fleece is parted. We can’t wait to see how she matures! Gabbie’s ancestry is exactly why she is an exquisite alpaca. Look closely and several names pop out. And Ian Watt was spot on when he said that Gabbie had a "near perfect profile" - her fiber is stunning. He knows fiber when he sees it. :)
