RKR's LITTLE ABE

SuriHerdsire (Male)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 32425208DOB: 5/25/20159 yrs
RKR's LITTLE ABE is out of Medium Silver Grey My Sunshine Sally and multi-champion classic Medium Silver Grey WLK Silver Threads. Sally is the only Grey offspring out of MacGyver's Armed & Dangerous. Silver Threads has passed away. He was well known for consistently producing grey when bred to grey. Silver Threads was full Peruvian and had a pedigree with every alpaca on it being either rose grey or silver grey. Overall, you will find at least one grey Suri in each of the 4 previous generations of Abe’s pedigree making him a 5th generation grey male. So far all that grey in his pedigree is siring a lot of grey as he is 3 for 4 for siring grey and the three females that have their crias registered were a rose grey, a fawn, and it was the true black that didn't produce a grey. That cria was true black. He also had another cria out of silver grey that was grey, but hasn't been registered. Abe has wonderful confirmation and a dense, lustrous, silver grey blanket. The locks are more of an open lock structure that hand spinners love, it is showing great staple length growth, and the fiber has a wonderful cool handle to it. At 15 months of age a quick test was done on his fleece and came back with an AFD of 21.9 microns and a SD of 5.4. A sample was sent in for a full fiber test from his first shearing at age 2 and the histogram results were good. An average fiber diameter of 23.1 microns with a standard deviation of 5.3 microns. Another fleece sample was submitted at age 3 to be part of the AOA's EPDs and Abe is maintaining his fineness pretty well. The results on that histogram were slightly better with an AFD of 22.9 microns and a SD of 5.1. The EPD rankings can be seen by clicking on the EPDs link. Ian Watt Skin Biopsy at 31 months (see the 3rd picture): Density - 66.5 follicles/sq mm S/P Ration - 9.6:1 SAFD - 21.6 microns, SD of 2.7 microns PAFD - 25.5 microns, SD of 3.2 microns S to P Spread - 3.9 microns The density and the secondary to primary spread are both outstanding!

OUTSTANDING GENETICS! TOP 2% MSL & FW!

MAX'S MISS ME

SuriOpen (Female)Dark Brown
AOA# 35274162DOB: 8/28/20159 yrs
Miss Me's sire is BRKRD Maxamus, two time CC at The Futurity. At Nationals Maxamus earned a 1st 1 year and was RC the other. Maxamus at 20 months had an 18.2 AFD, 4.1 SD, and 1.5% > 30. Maxamus' skin biopsy by Norm Evans yielded a then record 84.29 density. Maxamus is the son of the prepotent Double Dutch's American Spirit making Maxamus' grandsire the great Crown Royale. Her dam is Night Skye, daughter of the great black herdsire Coal Man. Night Skye has a strong background for black and that gives Miss Me one, too. Miss Me's dam and her dam's dam, medium brown Willow Mist, have had 3 black crias out of five. The three black crias were all when bred to black. Miss Me has a dense, lustrous fleece that has a great drape to it. Miss Me's drape has wonderful ropy locks that exhibit a consistant structure throughout her fleece. At age 21 months Miss Me was shorn for the first time and she produced 9.1 lbs of fleece with an amazing average staple length of 12.5 inches at age 20.5 months. That equates to 0.6" of average staple length growth per month! Those results lead to some great EPD rankings for staple length and fleece weight. A person can check out the EPDs by clicking on the link. Miss Me had a 16.4 lb. dark brown male cria sired by Bojack on 6/3/2018. He has a nicely locked and dense fleece. He also has a beautiful wedge shaped head with great coverage just like daddy! Miss Me had an 18.8 lb. multi-colored male cria sired by Golden Legacy on 6/14/19. He exhibits an outstanding Suri phenotype and a beautiful, dense, lustrous, and fine fleece. We have now discovered that Miss Me must have the white spot gene because her breeding to Abe resulted in a blue eyed white male. He weighed 19.6 lbs. at his birth on 6/21/2021 and he has a beautiful fleece. Miss Me is a great mom with lots of milk and her crias have all had great growth rates.

Description

Frank is a 'special needs' alpaca, but you wouldn't know it by watching him. He is completely deaf, but incredibly smart. I have started working with him in performance and Frank is taking it all in stride. This young male should make someone a wonderful companion in the pasture or in the show ring. And for all you fiber enthusiasts out there, this guy's fleece is amazing! Frank and Bombay can be sold together as a package. Reach out for more information. I would love to see this guy go to a farm where he'll be shown in performance, either by a youth or adult. He has the capability to go far!
