We are excited to add Nitro to the KJ herd! Nitro is a proven male who has produced some amazing offspring both in the US and Canada. Nitro is thriving here at KJ Alpacas. He has gained over 50 lbs since he arrived last year. He is healthy and feisty! We just sheared Nitro for 2021 and he sheared almost 9 lbs and had a usable staple length! Still clearing up some skin issues so we didn't take his legs right down again this year but overall Nitro is quite the stud muffin! Nitro produced a beautiful boy with Sugar in 2021. We are thrilled it was a boy!

Description

Ariya Nitro’s Cymbelline, Judge’s Choice and a mutiple Champion female, was specially added to our breeding program to enrich our light-coloured genetics and to be bred to our beige herdsire, Alpacajoy Excelsior. Proven as a producer, Cymbelline is known for her ultra-uniform fleece that she passes to her offsprings. Her 2018 cria Simply White was Reserve Champion White Walking Fleece in 2019, her 2019 daughter Milada has an AFD under 18 microns at 3 years old, and her 2021 son Explore stats read as follow: 15.9/2.8/0.0>30 Curv 52.9. Both Milada and Explore received great comments from Cheryl Gehly for their uniformity in micron (see micron chart). The evenness between primaries and secondaries is amazing on Cymbeline's progeny, it was difficult to find primaries on Explore’s 2022 Fall regrowth... Explore is now a 2x Reserve Champion, Best Crimp winner and Yearling Supreme Champion! Her multiple accolades during her showing career are due to her fantastic fiber characteristics such as brightness, uniformity, fleece weight/density, character, and lack of guard hair. Though she never exhibited an “out of this world” fineness, what I love the most is her consistency. At 5 months old, she tested an AFD of 18.6, SD 3.1, CV 16.5%, 0.2% >30. At 21 months old, her fiber stats barely changed: AFD 19.0, SD 3.1, CV 16.5%, 0.2% >30. That’s impressive! Her 2nd fleece scored 88/100 under Cheryl Gehly!
