Grace is the full sister to FTAF's Blackbeard and doesn't disappoint! She is a robust girl, easy birther, great Mom with big bone, amazing fleece and passing on her qualities to her offspring (just like her brother). She produced 2 gorgeous girls so far: - A Dark Brown Female (Utopia) out of Best in Velvet in 2019 who is also a champion. - A very True Black Female (Venus) out of Snowmass Matrix Midnight in 2020 In 2022 she produced a very handsome MSG Male out of Cataldo Steel and in 2024 She produced a gorgeous, possible Appaloosa male out of Rare Gem Dunkin who sold (he did not go to his new home until he was 8 months old.) when he was a month old. Grace has consistently produced high end cria. So far she has thrown the color she was bred to on all of her offspring. All of her offspring are super chill and easy to handle and train. I have decided to put her in the Openherd Auction as I am downsizing my farm and breeding program to accommodate life's other demands and make things a little easier on me. Wolfgang is an outstanding male, the heir apparent to his sire Kodiak. Everything we could have hoped for. His fleece is exceptional with uniformity of micron, pencil bundling, high-frequency architecture, blue-black color, excellent handle, and intense density. Wolfgang's conformation and bone structure are spot on. He is a handsome and gentle male. Wolfgang's cria are holding their own in the show ring! We are pleased with the consistency of improvement in Wolfgang's cria. Our evaluation indicates improved fleece, conformation, density, color, and phenotype in his off-spring. As for color, Wolfgang is throwing true black and darkening the dam. He is consistently improving the dam. We especially like the robust general health, large strong straight bone structure, highly developed fleece with micro bundling, density, and gorgeous phenotype complete with full face coverage. Color genotype testing for Wolfgang results indicate EEa1a3. Having an a3 allele has proven consistently to produce a rich blue-black color in our herd. It is being passed through multiple generations and they are non-fading true blacks. Wolfgang has no dilution and carries both black alleles. It will be very unlikely that he would produce light offspring and all offspring will cover black. We are excited to have this information to assist in our breeding decisions.
