Dually Honored is our next generation Dually son, without any question at all. The histogram I uploaded here is his FOURTH shearing. Face it, you would kill for stats like his on a CRIA FLEECE. With a dam like Maple Brook Marla, who always had a grade 1 fleece, I am not one bit surprised at this line. I never showed Dually Honored. His third fleece was shown and it did well, but probably would have done better had I done the skirting. Many of those "professional skirters" out there will over skirt a fleece and you will lose points in annualized fleece weights as a result. Now DEFCON5 has shown at the MA spring shows for the past two years. This year, they added a Walking Fleece class -- and he ran away with the White Color Champion in that class. DEFCON5 just turned two and we are going to add him to our roster of stud males in the next few days, even though we are content to wait until he is truly showing he is ready to breed. I don't believe in rushing any animal into production, male or female! Anyway, DH's proven kids include a light fawn daughter in NJ born two days ago and these two absolutely stunning white offspring, Honorable Mention and Nora, in NYS. Here we have our Magic Bean and Our Miss Manners, who are so utterly amazing that we have already sold Beanie and are hoping that we can hang onto Missy for our future program plans!

Description

Sangria Swirl is one of our home-produced Dually Honored daughters. Dually Honored offspring have been taking banners and judges choice at major shows. Swirl was second place at the 2021 MAPACA as a juvenile. She was second place at NEAE as a yearling. She won Walking Fleece Juvenile at MAPACA 2021 as well. She has that distinct and independent staple formation that is the hallmark trait of her sire, who were are proud to have produced here at Hidden Hill Farm. Swirl is definitely a female that could produce color. Her dam, Andes Farm Margarita, is a light fawn with the beautiful dark shading on the face. Since Dually Honored has already sired a dark modern gray, and her grandsire, who is our own home-bred and born Hidden Hill Peruvian Dually, has supported black, if you want to get color from Swirl, you surely might get it. Swirl has been bred to Commander, a truly phenomenal son of the great Snowmass Star Quest. Look up Star Quest's show record, as it is nothing short of impressive. Commander's dam was sired by Accoyo Godfather, who I owned. Given all my females hail from strong maternal lines, we are confident this "maiden voyage" should be an easy one. Staple length is a hallmark trait of the Dually Honored line. The fleece image is that of Commander,. but could as easily be that of Swirl. Fleece characteristics for Commander's line and Swirl's line are very complementary, and this should be a truly amazing cria. Swirl is co-owned with Laila Roukounakis.
