Boa's Aslan 2013

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Dark Brown

A male alpaca may be considered special when you go to look at a female for sale, have no plans on adding more males to your herd and you buy him anyway. We actually think he may be one of those true treasures that might have just sat around not being utilized. Too bad he didn't get a chance to be shown. Majestic looking, yet so cute you just want to squeeze him. He sometimes lets you. He is more of a loveable lion, like his name Aslan. Obviously, this guy has great fleece coverage. He needed eye holes trimmed so he could see and although his whole face was sheared it grew back in again at 4 years old. He is a lovely color with a dark fawn/red hue. Still exhibiting beautiful coverage at 7 years old. His sire, KTL El Toro took a 1st place at 2 years old then took a 1st place and reserve champion in 2009. He also sired a few champions himself. His grandfather Peruvian Microsoft, was from Accoyo America and sired by PPeruvian Camilio. He took 3 first places, one at the nationals and a 2nd as Get of Sire. Aslan's dam, Freedom, is an absolutely gorgeous girl with nice conformation and fleece. She ranks really well in the EPDs. Aslan's histogram with a 4.4 SD and a 19.4 micron shows nice fineness and uniformity, especially in his dark color. Probably why the handle feels so nice on this guy. He is in the top 15 percentile in EPDs for fineness. We had a fleece evaluator look at his fleece and comment that even his 3rds had amazing crimp. His offspring have ranged in colors from bright white & true black, along with a near replica of himself. They are simply stunning with their gorgeous heads and coverage. We hope to see some hit the show ring. We are so happy to have incorporated those qualities into our herd. We have kept more than a few of his offspring so have decided to offer him for sale. He is an easy going guy and people always point him out in the herd. Contact us if you are interested in more information on Aslan.

MCR's Patches of Vantaggio

HuacayaBred (Female)Light Rose Grey
AOA# 32426472DOB: 5/18/201311 yrs
Patches is a farm favorite - she's a gorgeous grey girl out of Vantaggio Di Bisturi. She's a fantastic mother, and an amazing aunt to all of the other cria. We decided to change things up with breeding last year, as she was bred to 4-Sights Crawford two times prior - and had a true black both times! Figured I'd roll the dice and see what would happen being bred to a dark fawn - Boa's Aslan, (who's produced white, black, dark fawn, etc.) and the out come was a white boy! This definitely showed us that Patches does what she wants in terms of colors haha. He's a beautiful boy with loads of wrinkles and fleece, we cannot wait to see how he turns out! Patches is currently bred to Duke of Wakeman's Court Jester for a late 2023 baby! We cannot wait to see what these two produce - Court Jester's almost has a red hue to him, he's a stunning grey boy and we could not be more excited! Patches had the most stunning rose grey baby girl on 7/31. I cried tears of joy over this baby, she's a true beauty! With such a gorgeous rose grey girl from last year's pairing, Patches got another date with Duke of Wakeman's Court Jester. She is bred for a 2024 cria & we can't wait to see the results from these two again!

Description

It took a while to decide on a good registered name for this boy, but boy does "Batteries Not Included" suit him! He always seems to think about everything before he does it, and during that time seems to be stuck on a "loading screen". It's the cutest thing and he's growing up to be an exceptional male! Waylon was the first name to come to us when he was born, and the name just kind of stuck! When he was born, it was a shock to say the least! Dam is MCR's Patches of Vantaggio, a beautiful grey girl. Sire is Boa's Aslan, a gorgeous dark fawn boy. This really does show you never know what to expect when breeding alpacas! Out of all the colors, I see a shining bright almost white alpaca out in the pasture - the day before his due date. This boy's color was totally unexpected! He looked almost white at first, then slowly looked more like a light fawn or fading fawn once he was fully dry. Baby was already up and nursing when I saw him, Patches has been a fantastic mom, as always. She's a great aunt to all the cria, but she was thrilled when she finally had her own again. Waylon's fleece is softer than a cloud! He has so much of it, super crimped up too, and my goodness is it SOFT! We cannot wait to see how this boy matures. He's full of personality, and it's hard to get a photo of him with all 4 feet on the ground, this boy has loads of energy! We call him our bouncy cloud, as his fleece is so lush & he's always on the move. Waylon is really thriving. At shearing, we realized he is a gorgeous blinding white boy (we couldn't tell if fawn, beige, or white!), and we discovered some surprise brown spots! He has one behind his ear, one on his side by his left hip, and a few elsewhere! Waylon really is a stunning boy with loads of fleece, and the cutest personality. He's been maturing beautifully, and has stunning bright white fleece with tons of crimp!
