We just knew we had to have this boy when we laid eyes on him! He's exactly what our white breeding program needed. A boy with brightness, fineness, crimp and especially bone structure! We bought Leander while at the Parade of Champions Auction in the summer of 2017. He's growing nicely and his fiber is continuing to just amaze us with it's, well, everything! He's the real deal and we can't wait to try him on one of our white girls from our amazing herdsire TGF Supreme Summit! Year number two for Leander was just amazing how he's grown AND how his fiber has just exploded with brightness, crimp and uniformity! This boy has virtually NO primary hair that sticks out (aka guard hair). I'm just so amazed at how uniform his blanket is over the entire body!!! Leander was just too interested in hay to breed last summer but definitely is going to be used on a few of our girls, especially the ones with long fine fiber. Sometimes the girls with long fiber is fine but has not character and Leander is the herdsire to change that! I just know this boy is going to stamp his genes onto these girls and I can't wait to get him working later this spring (2019). Chai has Snowmass multi-campion bloodlines including Snowmass Quechua, Snowmass Quechua's Snoqualmie, Hemingway, and 4Peruvian Pachacuti 6011. I absolutely have to mention her fiber! At six years old her Histogram shows a comfort level of 97.5 %! Her spin Fineness is 20.3 microns! Her staple length 3.7" and the fibers greater than 30 microns are only 2.5%! Her EPD's are very impressive! Chai's AFD and SF are in the top 10%. Her SDAFD and %F>30 are in the top 15%! Chai is also a really good mom. She is attentive to her crias and a great milk producer. Chai gets bred easily and hasn't needed any help when birthing her crias. She looks like she is ready to have it any day for a couple of weeks and when you get tired of checking, you go out to feed there is the new cria bouncing around! Her crias have been between 16 and 17 pounds. Chai is an easy keeper. She doesn't need a lot of feed to keep her weight when nursing. Both crias have been females! Gotta love that!
