Tiger Lily Conopa’s Smoak will bring another great layer of quality in our herd with his incredible fleece and genetics! Smoak did extremely well in the showings, winning 9 Championship and 1x Supreme Champion title. Several times, he showed with his wins that his quality surpasses the lighter alpacas’ (with the Supreme and Age Championship), that means a lot for a brown! His fiber’s stats showed that he has a very fine fleece with an AFD of 14.7 microns at his 1st histogram and 16.3 microns at his 2nd. Barely no guard hair on his chest, and none on his blanket. His fleece has a very high frequency crimp, merino like, with extreme density. Fleece pictures don't do him justice! He is an outstanding male, with a conformation that stands out of the group, beautiful fleece coverage from head to toes and proportions. He is bringing along his elite North American genetics that will complement our herd greatly. His sire is the legendary Snowmass Conopa XXX. His dam is equally great: Tiger Lily Samatha Ice is a 2x Supreme Champion female that produces Supreme Champions! Smoak is just one of them. Her progeny is also producing multi-Champions, one of them being 9x Supreme Champion Tiger Lily Shaka’s Pillar. She’s out of an Eclipse Alyst daughter and Bolivian Ice Man, a male that made a spectacular impact on the Western Canada industry! We were left with only 1 cria sired by Smoak from 2021, and all we can say is WOW! That single cria is outstanding and rocking in the shows, winning the 1st place ribbons and 2 Reserve Championship. A-H scored 84/100 in fleece show: 24.5 for fineness and handle, 9 for uniformity of micron, 8.5 for brightness, 8.5 for character and 9 for absence of guard hair. Alfée is a 2x Reserve Champion light female. She has tremendous length into that staple, that she passes to her offspring. Her fleece has a great handle and few guard hair. As a producer, Alfée is putting to the ground beautifully conformed alpacas that are boxy in style and solid. She is one of the best attentive moms! Her crias have nice handle, shine, moderate density and good deep amplitude crimp. Alfée comes from very limited - into our herd – lines of Fibre Works Diamonte and CPeruvian Daniel. She’s also from MMR Arequipina’s, MMR Marcoyo’s, and Alpamayo’s lines. Conformationally, today she isn’t the beautiful girl that she once was… Alfée has been unfortunate and needed some vet interventions for abscess and uterine torsion (2 within 18 days). She is looking a bit weaker since that first intervention in 2018. However, that didn’t stop her to produce vigorous crias with perfect conformation and head style. She must be priced in consideration of both these facts. Alfée delivered a very nice brown - possible bay black - male out of Smoak in July 2022.
