**Descripton by previous owners** This young male's pedigree is impeccable! MacGyver, Condor, Kolaqua, Shavano, Rastamon, Silver Marquis, Miguel ... and the list goes on and on! ******************************************************** We are so happy to welcome Chief to our herdsire row at Honey Maple Farms! He is a gorgeous male with a quite impressive pedigree. We love his red-maroon coloring and dark nose/ears. The fact that he has grey in his pedigree is an added bonus! The addition of Chief gives us yet ANOTHER set of genetics to work with and the potenial for grey or deep color, whichever we choose to pursue. He is a product of the GLR program, which has produced some AMAZING animals, and we are really looking forward to what he will bring to our herd and fleece production. **JUNE UPDATE** Chief has arrived at Honey Maple Farms and all we can say is WOW!!! His coloring is even more gorgeous in person, and the LUSTER ....OH MY! We cannot get enough of this boy!! He has great conformation and substance of bone, and he carries himself with great presence, as if to say, "Here I am!" He is special and he KNOWS IT!!! Chief should produce some beautiful crias with our girls!! We have a confirmed pregnancy for Chief-- now we can't wait to see this cria in 2022!

Lovely vicuna-like coloring!

Marauder's September Storm

AOA# 32434255DOB: 9/19/201113 yrs
Stormy is a big, beautiful girl with unique vicuna-like coloring. She is very alert to everything and definately the boss of the herd, keeping everybody "in line" and sounding the alarm when needed. Luckily we have our LGD's to help her out now, so she can get back to doing what she does best...keeping everybody in line. Stormy is another easy keeper, likes treats and is generally a low maintenance girl. She likes to walk near us in the pasture and always greets us at the gate...ready to eat, of course! **UPDATE** Stormy delivered a lovely fawn male on OCT. 7, 2020!! Zephyr was named for the westerly wind which was blowing on that day....He looks JUST LIKE his momma! Check out Zephyr's new fleece photo from Jan 31, 2021. His density and luster are outstanding!! My goodness...this is making us reconsider our breeding options for Stormy in the coming year..... ____________ July 2021--Stormy has been bred to Kolaqua's Chief for her 2022 cria! Chief has an outstanding pedigree and grey in his lineage. Stormy also carries grey in her lineage. This should be a very beautiful and lustrous cria...color will be fun to anticipate too! *July 2022 UPDATE* Stormy has produced ANOTHER mini-me.. a look-a-like cria of herself!! This little one is very upright and bright with a curious personality! She is a petite little "Ray of Sunshine" and super cute!

Description

CONGRATULATIONS to Todd and Holly Jacobs on your purchase of Sunshine at the Eastern Alpaca Jamboree!! She is a beauty, and I can't wait to see what she produces for you ....in grey!! ________________________________________________________________________________________ This little cutie was quite a color surprise! Both Stormy and Chief have grey genetics in their pedigrees (WRSR Mercury Rising's Marauder and GLR Kolaqua) and we were really hoping to pull that out with this pairing. BUT...Stormy's genes are strong and she produced another copy of herself!! Sunshine does appear to have grey skin, so time will tell... We are excited to have a female this time around and she is adorable! Ray of Sunshine is just that... a spunky little girl who just loves to run and play! She is petite, but growing fast and her fleece is locking up nicely. She has a beautiful stance with nice conformation and she is VERY curious. We will be watching her with great interest as she grows! **September UPDATE** Now that little miss Sunshine is 2 months old, we are seeing the changes in her fleece color. Her neck is grey near the skin and her blanket is looking like it will be light rose grey at this point. She definitely has grey skin and it will be fun to watch and see what color she decides to be in the coming year or so! *FEB 2023* Sunshine is officially rose grey!! When color checked at the Carolina Shows, she matched the light rose grey color card EXACTLY! They were so surprised...no guessing on her color at all!! This adorable girl went on to win 2 blue ribbons. The judges really liked her overall conformation, luster, handle and staple length!
