We sadly had to make the tough decision to put Wildcard down in May of 2020 due to a foot infection that we just couldn't fix. He left us with a beautiful brown daughter to carry on his legacy. Red Granites Wildcard is a genetically superior male. He has the correct conformation, head style, and uniformly fine and dense fleece with the perfect presence we look for in our herd. He is a macho but very gentle. His sire, ATV Adonnis was the 2012 Futurity Reserve Herdsire For Dark-Colored Offspring. He had 103 AOA Registered Offspring at the time of his death at 10 years of age, Adonnis was a cornerstone grey stud. ATV Adonnis was recognized as one of the most influential grey huacaya herdsires in the nation, shown through his outstanding fleece stats, eleven champion banners, award-winning offspring, and the improvement in every breeding he did. His dam, Ulio Hembra Juaka is a lovely silver-grey female sired by Mile High Deacon Grey.

Red Granites Sheba is an excellent representation of what Kirwin produced: large frames, exquisite phenotypes, dark-points, and an abundance of uniform fleece. He left his mark on this female. Crossing Kirwin with Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose daughters has always knocked it out of the park, Sheba is no exception. Her fleece is of a medium frequency and medium amplitude but when she is paired with high frequency males she produces incredible things.

We proudly co-own this male with North Plains Alpacas! Tim had approached us at GWAS and gave us an offer that we just could not refuse so Rum Runner ha joined the Herdsire row at Red Granite Ranch! NPA Rum Runner is a simply stunning multi-color male. A bay black base color, with shades of dark brown, and spots of silver/rose grey, fawn, and brown - he is indeed an appaloosa with grey genetics, which can be controversial to some... Rum Runner was named the 2024 Futurity Multi-Color Male Color Champion winner as a Yearling, respectively, and has a flawless show record to boot of blues and a couple of reds. Judges comment on his extremely soft handle with very fine fibers even between his different colors. We are excited to add this boy to our program and start a small appy program with him. He started breeding for us, once a confirmed pregnancy is achieved he will be open to outside stud service!
