Ganymede will be at AMAF in NY again this Summer! BEEN THINKING ABOUT IT, BUT VA TOO FAR TO GO? Contact us to discuss getting a breeding in VA, NY, or TX. Time is running out to purchase a breeding to Ganymede, the 2017 AOA Nat’l Supreme Champion. Color genotype: ee Aa. Can produce black! He's making Champions & Judges Choice offspring!! Extraordinary Offspring: CNTRL Ganymede's Hannah B, has 22 Championships and 4 Judges Choice awards competing as a fawn female -AND- she is the 2021/22 #5 female in the Nation!! AMAF Islamadora, has 20 Championships, including the 2024 AOA National Championship, and received her first Judges Choice award as a yearling in Fall of 2023! StrongShepherd Juno, is a 16x Champion & JC male, and CCNF (arguably the top breeding farm in the country) purchased half-interest in this incredible male to bring different genetics into their herd! "This male shows extremely strong fiber traits that should be passed to his offspring...Bred to top notch females, you should expect many champions." -- Comments from Dr. Norm Evans' biopsy report SKIN BIOPSY was performed at 30 months of age by Dr. Norm Evans in December 2017. Of note, his 15x scan shows large fiber clusters uniform in shape and placement within his connective tissue. His scan shows only 4 guard type hairs from the 6800+ fibers in his 10 MM tissue punch. His true density is 86.75 follicles per SQ MM of skin. He shows a level 2 of 4 gland structure, with an average S/P ratio of 14.1 to 1, and only 11% of his secondary fibers are medullated which is rare since the average is near 60%. His 250x scan shows the presence of many round secondary fibers, and one hundred typical secondary fibers averaged 17.8 microns — at 30 months old!! According to Dr. Evans 30 months is the recommended age for skin biopsies and gives the most accurate values. Full report available upon request. While Ganymede’s breeding fee is firm, we can offer attractive discounts on any solely owned herdsire in a multiple breeding package. We also have females available that have already been bred to Ganymede or can be purchased with a future breeding to him. Please give us a call to discuss. Ganymede is Co-Owned with Rancho Inca Alpacas located in Navasota TX

Dreamy is a champion producer, and we have retained 4 of her offspring for our breeding program -- two herdsires and two females. Dreamy's first three offspring are champions -- two of them are out of GANYMEDE! Her male offspring out of CCNF Leviathan is also a champion and he is currently standing on our herdsire row -- he's absolutely magnificent — winning dark color champion as a four-year-old in the 2023 AOA, IFA Fleece Show Gr2 with a measured AFD of 20.1 µm)! He also received the best brightness award at that show! We purchased "Dreamy" at the 2018 POC Auction because we loved what we saw in her amazing fleece, and we loved her genetics -- she was worth every penny! Dreamy is a reliable producer, and she's been an attentive mom. She's calm and easy going. Dreamy delivered a gorgeous white male cria , Cosmos, on 5/11/20, out of GANYMEDE, and he was truly stunning right out of the box! With incredible definition to his zigzag fleece -- could already tell on day one that he was going to be really, really nice...and he championed at his first show at just over 6 months old! His 2022 2-yr old fleece held a 16 micron AFD. Dreamy was bred right back to Ganymede for an encore and she produced another gorgeous white male cria, Cerberus, on 4/27/21 and he championed at the 2022 CAC Show. Cerb’s 2023 two year old fleece holds of 15 µm AFD. Dreamy delivered a beautiful beige female cria on 5/10/2022 and she was sold to friends in Florida before she was old enough to be shown. Another female cria out of Dreamy and Ganymede arrived on 4/30/23, and she’s a beauty! And, another female cria on 4/24/24. Obviously, Dreamy is easy to get bred -- a cria every year at about the same time. Dreamy’s been bred to Irish Meadows Corteva, our newest herdsire, for a Spring 2025 cria. Corteva's a 9X Champion and Judges Choice male out of none other than 21X Champion and multiple Judges Choice sire, Irish Meadows Reputation, who's offspring are knocking it out of the ballpark in the show ring.

Description

Well, this little girl has a lot to live up to -- all three of her siblings are Champions! So we have great expectations...Eclipse is the first female from the pairing of "Dreamy" and Ganymede, and we're so excited to add her to our foundation. Eclipse is also the largest Huacaya female cria we've ever had born on the farm -- 22.2 pounds! Congrats to her dam, Stillmeadow Farm Bella's Dream! Eclipse is bright, curious and friendly. She used to let me walk right up to her and pick her up so visitors could feel her fleece. Well, she reached a point where that it was no longer cool and I had to stop. It took a while for her to rebound. I don’t pick her up anymore and now she’s happy to come up to visitors again to take treats from their hands. Eclipse was also the cover girl for our August 2022 rural electric cooperative magazine!
