PATAGONIA'S ERNESTO: Patagonia’s Ernesto is a magnificent light brown compact herdsire that improves every dam to her fullest potential. Before I purchased Ernesto, I bred numerous females to this dynamic male just to see what he could do. I discovered that I could take an average dam, breed her to Ernesto, and voila, he would produce a stunning offspring. This feat was proven when we had hundreds of the females assessed with their juvenile crias. Time and time again, the cria scored better than the dam so I knew I had something special going on with this male and one way to obtain improvement in the production of our breeding program. In many ways, Patagonia’s Ernesto has surpassed his one of a kind sire, Patagonia’s Lennox, and what Lennox has been able to achieve in his life-time. Ernesto’s dam, R&RR Irishea, is a light fawn from Ruth and Rodney Elvestad’s Canadian breeding program whose goal was to have lasting fine fleece, yet have the fleece to be the ultimate in density as well. Ruth operates Olds College in Canada working with fiber. Irishea is out of one of my very favorite males, CAVA Guivar Zorro, a true black import. He has many good breeding years left and would love to have the opportunity to prove it! PATAGONIA'S WHITE ROSE White Rose is our gorgeous 4x Champion and Multiple Blue Ribbon winning Nishio daughter, who is a proven Champion Producer. White Rose's beautiful 2016 daughter, Estates Wedding Tapestry, is our Judge's Choice, 2017 ABI recipient and a 5x Champion! White Rose's sire, Nishio has an exquisite black fleece, which is extremely dense and full of high frequency crimp. In 2007 Nishio was awarded the All-American Reserve Herdsire of the Year, in 2004 the All-American Herdsire of the Year, and in 2005 was the AOBA Get-of-Sire winner. Nishio's offspring have incredible fleeces and their achievements in the show ring are impressive. Most remarkable are Patagonia's Vinci, a white male who won first place at most of the major shows of 2004 (including, IAO, NAAS, AFF, GWAS) & Patagonia's White Rose, a white female who won the RESERVE CHAMP at the 2006 International Alpaca Odyssey judged by Julio Sumar, Charlene Freidman and Val Fullerlove, RESERVE COLOR CHAMP at the 2006 Alpacapalooza judged by Charlene Freidman and COLOR CHAMPION at the 2006 AWE where is was judged by Mike Safely; Patagonia's Solstice who was SUPREME CHAMP at the IAO 2006 White Rose's dam, Tyna also produced the legendary Patagonia’s Lennox, who has countless ribbons, and is a 14x Get of Sire winner, including 3 Get of Sire blue ribbons! Not to mention, he’s the sire of Ernesto (our magnificent Judge's Choice, 7x Champion & 5x Get of Sire award winning light brown herdsire). On 8/17/2016, White Rose presented us with a fabulous white female sired by Patagonia’s El Galan, our magnificent 4x Champion and Champion Producer with an elegant, soft handle, buttery fleece. Their daughter, Estates Wedding Tapestry, is our Judge's Choice, 2017 ABI recipient and a 5x Champion! On 10/25/2017, White Rose gave us a beautiful light fawn female sired by multi-champion Estates Haiden.
