North Plains Alpacas Peruvian Sydney is an excellent example of success in strategic breeding! We set out to breed Sydney’s fawn dam, Aconcagua to one of the “finest” dark males we could find, BMF Taos’ Zeppelin (owned by Delphi Alpacas). He is a male with extraordinary fleece qualities, consistent, low microns, low CV’s, and an impressive “zipper” style crimp character. Zeppelin may be a bay black, but it wasn’t the dark color that we were breeding for, it was fleece! Fleece! Fleece! On 9/21/20, Sydney gave us ESTATES PERSEVERANCE, a wonderful white male sired by 8x Champion Estates Legendary Picasso. Estates Perseverance won a Blue Ribbon at the 2024 Houston Show: Halter. He also receive a 2nd Place ribbon for walking fleece and a 3rd Place ribbon for fleece at the 2024 Houston Show!
