Neversummer's US Steel

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 31720076DOB: 6/12/200915 yrs
September 1, 2021 Neversummer's US Steel is for sale and is now available. We have kept back several of his offspring and it's now time for him to focus on another herd. SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY! Gold Country Gathering 2019 Silver Spice, a Neversummer's US Steel daughter wins both Judge's Choice and Spirit of the Industry Award! Neversummer’s US Steel! 2018, 2017 and 2016 Herdsire of the Year! As of January 2018 Neversummer's US Steel will be permanently residing full time at Starshire Ranch! Love, love, love this guy, his stats, his offspring... Love everything about him! Steel is so very fine! He has also inherited his sire's trademark silky handle. As he matured, Steel's uniformity and retained fineness brought him to the very top of his extremely competitive classes in the ring. The judges consistently commented on his extreme fineness and soft handle and now his histogram numbers fully support this. Steel is a handsome male with an excellent breeding background and has matured into an elite macho, who has produced champion offspring of his own! Steel's dam, Crescent Moon's Starbright is a lovely Rayo Del Sol daughter who was a blue ribbon winner and a reserve champion in the ring herself. She was a gentle female and proved to be a topnotch breeder and mother. At 6 yrs of age, Starbright's fleece was still 21 microns. Steel continued his show career just months before his 3rd birthday at the 2012 Futurity placing 1st in a competitive class under judge Peter Kennedy. At the 2012 GWAS he was 1st and Reserve Color and the oldest male in his class at 34.7 months and Judge Jude Anderson commented on his fineness, uniformity of color and beautiful fleece character that is still being retained at his age. This is truly remarkable for a male just shy of 36 months to be so competitive in a class of 48 grey males! The color champion was rose grey, so Steel was the best silver grey male at this show! Although winning and ribbons are fun and good, but the true test of a great herdsire is in his offspring. Once more Steel continues to shine both in the brightness, fineness and soft silky handle of his offspring's fleece as well as the beautiful look he stamps on each offspring!

Dam: Delphi's Risa

Multi Champ Sire - Gorgeous Fleece!

Delphi's Risa

HuacayaOpen (Female)Bay Black
AOA# 35078418DOB: 6/25/20168 yrs
Shown twice this Spring, Risa was awarded a 6th place ribbon at the 2017 Nationals - the competition was extreme, as was her behavior, lol. Then, 7 weeks later, Peter Kennedy, (renowned breeder of blacks himself), awarded her the Blue in another tough class of 7 at GWAS, which included several of the girls that had placed above her at Nationals. We think her additional fleece growth, plus some additional halter training, (she is very sweet and smart) allowed her to show her true colors. Peter Loved her fleece, and you can see why. ;^) Risa went on to win 1st Place in a very competitive Juvie class of 7 and Reserve Champion Black Female, earning 78 points at the 2017 AOA National Fleece Show. Peter Kennedy's comments: "Beautifully soft fleece, bright and soft to hand". We're told the black classes were extremely competitive and that Peter Kennedy was heard to say he was blown away by the quality of the blacks. She is slick, dense and crimpy - fine - Handle Handle Handle! From 2 classic grey parents - (Check out her dad's page!) Almost full Peruvian - Yum! She'll fit into any color program you have - and she has the genetics to improve it. Her name is Risa (think Lisa with an "R"), which means laughter, and she sure puts a smile on our faces. We can't stop feeling her bright bright bright silky fleece. Yeah, I know bright and lustrous are redundant (unless you're a suri breeder, wink!) - but this little one just begs for more adjectives. Beautiful head, perfect bite. She is growing into an absolutely wonderful young lady - She will be a superb producer for a black or grey program.
