K-O's Rocky of IPH

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Fawn
AOA# 35118152DOB: 7/10/20159 yrs
The fleece on this guy - WOW!! Rocky is the offspring of a Crystal Spartan son, Crystal K-O and a NM Beethoven daughter, VAC Beethoven's Vienna. He has absolutely exquisite, high end fleece. A 15.9 micron with an SD of 2.5 and 0.1 over 30! He has incredible density and very tight crimp. The handle of this fleece is out of this world. Rocky is short. His frame is quite solid and put together correctly he is just short. This has caused him to be placed lower in halter classes but the Judges ALWAYS say his fleece is phenomenal and if he were taller he would be standing at the top of the class. He does extremely well in walking fleece classes. I really wish we could have gotten him in more walking fleece shows! He has a beautiful head with fleece coverage in abundance. Rocky is a sweetheart and has been shown in performance class by our Granddaughter. We love this guy and absolutely plan to use him on some of our females. We will choose females of good stature in hopes to keep their size but if we can get this fleece on his offspring..... we will have champions without a doubt. Rocky has been exposed to a couple of females. We are waiting on confirmations of pregnancy. WOW! Rocky was entered into the Michigan International Alpaca Fest at 4 + years old because they needed more fawn males to complete championships. He took a 2nd in the mature halter class and in Walking Fleece - HE TOOK COLOR CHAMPION! The Judge said she was quite impressed with his fleece for a 4 year old male. He scored a 19 out of 20 in Fineness/Handle, a 9.5 out of 10 absence of guard hair and a 9 out of 10 for Character/Crimp! Rocky now has offspring on the ground and he has passed on his elite fleece! UPDATE Rocky's daughter Fight Like A Girl is a Champion!

This girl is a champion maker! Orchid is the daughter of Jumanji. This is a line that very consistently produces champions. We are very excited to have her in our breeding program. Fineness, density, complete coverage, consistency - tip to toe. Orchid offers it all. Did we mention she also throws darker? Look at her daughter Dahlia who is not only a multi Champion but a Judges Choice winner! Her second offspring Tye Dye is also a blue ribbon winner. Orchid delivered a beautiful little girl sired by Rocky. This gal has some gorgeous fleece and we can't wait to see how she matures.

Description

Magnolia is a beautiful little girl. She is the daughter of K-O's Rocky of IPH and Whistler's Peruvian Orchid. Her sire Rocky has gorgeous fleece and is a walking fleece champion. She seems to have inherited his fleece style. Her dam is a daughter of Jumanji and this pairing seemed to work out nicely. Check out her registration and you will see NM Beethoven, Crystal K-O and Crystal Spartan as well as Jeremiah's Peruvian Jumanji! She was not cria shorn and still had her cria tips at her first show but the judges were able to see the beautiful fleece style when they opened it up and commented "bet you can't wait to get her shorn and see the regrowth"! Yes we agree! Her fleece is quite fine as well. Her sire has retained his very fine fleece as he ages and we think Magnolia will as well. She has a compact body that is packed full of fleece. Her first double show she placed 3rd and 4th in halter. The judges commented on the bright very fine fleece with great handle and the structure. She was the youngest in the class. In walking fleece she placed 2nd out of 6. The judge was impressed with the absence of fibers > 30 and secondary/primary micron range scoring a 4 out of 5 in both categories. She scored an 18 out of 20 in Fineness and Handle. We look forward to a great show career from her.
