Apache is a gorgeous male & herd sire at the peek of his breeding career! He has produced beautiful offspring every time! He is well-handled & halter trained! Start making your own alpaca babies with a proven herd sire like Apache and you won't be disappointed! Update: Fiber Density stats Data Details: Density: 79.0/mm Secondary: Primary fiber Ratio: 12.1:1 In-skin mean primary fiber diameter: 22.8 / Standard Deviation 2.7 In-skin mean secondary fiber diameter 19.2/ Standard Deviation 2.7 Report Comments: Very good density with two highly uniform fiber populations and a very good fiber population differential of 3.6 microns. These are very good numbers for a fawn alpaca Sire!

FVA Luna

HuacayaBred (Female)True Black
AOA# 32044157DOB: 12/22/201014 yrs
Luna was born during the lunar eclipse in 2010 in the wee hours of the morning. She has impressed us with her quality of fleece and stature of a typie alpaca. For a "True Black" her fleece is very fine, crimpy and fine with wonderful handle. With her ancestry of top quality bloodlines she has a sound future as a great foundation female. Bred to Calypso for her first cria, we expect a top notch cria. She is conformationaly sound and straight with a perfect bite with fleece character consistent from her top knot down her legs. If you are wondering why this is her first cria, it's not due to any deficiency in her, we just weren't able to breed her until this last year due to family issues. Luna has produced a female her first breeding and after a fashion she was bred to Plum Creeks Capone a outstanding light grey male. with that pairing she has produced a stunning modern Dark Grey male and is showing aspirations of producing quality fleece with a possible breeding career in his future. Luna currently has a impressive bay black female at her side out of Apache Gold and is bred again to Akiak for a fall cria.

Estates Akiak

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Bay Black
AOA# 35387008DOB: 5/8/20168 yrs
Akiak (pronounced A- kye- ak) Is a Truly stunning Alpaca! Is eye catching with his dark fleece and presence as he stands very proud showing his solid confirmation that is pronounced by his nice solid bone structure. Out of one of the top well known males in the industry Patagonia’s Chilkoot. Akiak carries a lot of color in his ancestry, pronounced fleece qualities that is uniform and top notch from his top knot to his toes, with a good fleece weight for a male his age and size. Akiak is a young male that has shown well in the ring at a number of well known shows, collecting a stunning collection of 1st place ribbons in a number of competitive shows. Giving the impression that he is carrying his Sire’s reputation in the ring of Reserve Champion, along with a number of other top ribbons. He is an up and coming breeding male with many females lined up for him this year. Just looking at his statistics and how he carries himself we are looking forward to seeing his offspring. Akiak carries what we aspire to in our breeding program, he has a lot to offer for breeding for color, fineness with all the character for top quality fleece production. he is registered as a black, BUT, when we sheared we were surprised to find he has brown spots through out his fleece in true Appaloosa fashion, spots along his spine and over his rump. Fleece color has matured to more of a bay black with very dark brown coloring down his legs on the inside to the back outside of his back legs. Akiak has settled females and is available for breeding to interested females. He has two cria's on the ground now, one female one male both his coloring!

Description

I just love this little girl, she is growing nicely and should be mature enough for breeding this fall. She has better fleece than her dam in character and fineness. Her Dam is nothing to sneeze at with the fineness at ten years of age she still holds a micron count of 24, she just doesn't carry the density and crimp like Chia. Chia is a jump in quality over her Dam, given her Sire, it has been expected, he is extremely dense and fine, all of his cria's to date (all girls) have been far better than their Dams. Here are the stat's from the EPD Estimator for this breeding for cria in 2022 Trait Sire Dam Progeny Estimate Average Fiber Diameter -2.152 -0.048 -1.1 Standard Deviation (AFD) -0.511 -0.064 -0.287 Spin Fineness -2.186 -0.039 -1.113 Percent of Fibers Larger Than 30 Microns -7.747 -1.054 -4.401 Mean Curvature 4.286 -1.055 1.615 Standard Deviation of Curvature 1.889 -0.368 0.76 Percent Medullation -2.501 -1.234 -1.867 Mean Staple Length -5.451 -2.787 -4.119 Fleece Weight -0.244 -0.159 -0.202 Birth Weight -0.075 0.298 0.111
