Lakota is out of TWO appaloosa parents. Is he homozygous? We think so. His first kids hit the ground in 2020 and all were spotted. We bred a number of females to him for the 2021 season along with some outside breedings and he delivered every single darn time. We love Lakota for his sturdy frame, very solid fleece character (fineness, density and character) and sweet temperament. He has a nice array of spots to share and so far he has shared them well. Did I mention his fleece quality? Its noteworthy. And he passes it along. We have some amazing kids to preview and photos will be posted shortly. We are offering a limited number of breedings through 2024( 5 to be exact). So if you want to jump on a relatively guaranteed outcome with an amazing guy - please contact us! 9 year histo update: 23.5/4.7 :)

Magical Maggie Wooley beast and Willow Wind purchased this youngster a few years ago with high hopes of producing gorgeous harlequin/appy offspring and this little lady has not disappointed. Her dam, Fire Cracker Disco, who also came along in that package was one of our favorites. She is a solid producer who got her spots from Colorado Dillinger just like Billabong. We couldnt resist her and we certainly couldnt resist her daughter. She did great in the show ring with her fineness and some well organized structure. We bred her two years in a row to our co owned male Lakota and she has had two outstanding boys so far; Papillon and Koda. Lakota is least of all a slouch himself - take a look. He is batting 100% for throwing a fine bright crimpy appaloosa fleece each and every time. EACH AND EVERY TIME. Papillon was recently sold to a newer farm in Texas - those folks are going to be happy we think with his capacity. That is two harley/appy parents; both with a high propensity to produce appy/harlequinn and we think there is a good chance that papillon might follow in his daddy's foot print. Super fine. Well Spotted. Nicely conformed. With elite fleece character. And perhaps a very reliable appaloosa producer. Born in summer 2021, Koda is coming up the rear with the same awesome traits. Same parents as Papillon. Same typey look. Same fleece quality. We bred Maggie to Man of Mystery in 2022 and we are looking forward to the outcome. Keep an eye out! Cannot wait!

Description

And we mean JUNIOR. LOL This guy is a stunner. LOOOOOONG Staple. And perfectly spotted. Out of our foundation harley Magical Maggie and our Appy throwing powerhouse Lakota (who has so far thrown appy EVERY time) This little pumpkin pie is deliciously typey. We did a very early histogram on him and his fleece tested at a 15.6 micron while his full brother (who sold to a lovely farm in TX) was sporting a 15.7 micron at his first shearing. So we will keep you updated. And both of his parents are spotted so could he be??? We spent a few years hyper focused on homozygosity for ourselves and for our clients. Because it can matter. And this guy might be. See his little grey spots on his nose? That suggests to me he might have gotten some harley from his momma and if Daddy is homozygous, then he too would have thrown the gene... So we feel like he has the ingredients. And given his big brother turned grey in year 2 - we think he might as well. so looks appy but I think? He may be a harley. Let us know if you are interested... This guy is designed to get you in the groove with spots. And well designed spots. On a beautiful frame. And with fleece traits to impress and improve. And is he adorable? Absolutely. Typey to a TEEEEEE. Koda will go up in price as time progresses so you might... I dont know.... snatch him up?
