How do you say SIMPLY GORGEOUS?...we say EPHRAIM! From his incredible head to his toes, the coverage of fine, crimpy fleece will take your breath away. We had originally thought we would send a Diomedes daughter to Colorado to pair with Tuscan Gold, but somehow Athena drew that straw. The minute she delivered Ephraim we knew it had been the right choice. She has always produced dark offspring from light sires, but this shiny black cria was a beautiful surprise, and there were more to come. When we sheared Ephraim as a cria, the rolling skin on his neck and chest were beyond anything we had experienced. You can see some of the rolls in the picture of him at a few weeks. It probably explains why he sheared better than a 4 pound blanket!! of 17.4 micron fleece at 10 months of age!!…and the handle…SO buttery soft! His personality is wonderful around his pen mates and our kids. He has been getting better and better with age, and he has 4 healthy crias on the ground ON JUST OUR FARM! They have ranged from White to Dark Fawn. We have used him for so many of our farm breedings. He continues to wow us with the density and fineness he passes down! Satin is a farm visitor favorite.... Everyone loves her ears and her nickname is "Pigtails". She has had several offspring and is great mom. Still lots of luster and crimp left, even though she is not as fine due to her age. She was bred to our herdsire, Ephraim in 2020, and produced Raven, a beautiful black girl! She was bred to FDA Silver Blade produced a handsome little grey stud (Blade's Tempered Steel, who already sold at just a few days old!!!), we loved the pairing and re-bred her to Blade and we cannot wait for that outcome again!
