2016 HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR DARK-OFFSPRING

Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Brown
AOA# 32029277DOB: 6/18/201014 yrs
Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose (Sizzy) is a simply divine light brown, male with extremely bright fleece, full of high-frequency high amplitude Mirco bundles, as well as carrying a very dense fleece with an amazing handle. Several of the top Judges have called him "The Total Package." With him being an exceptional twelve-time champion, including the 2012 AOBA National Alpaca Show Halter Color Champion & 2012 The Futurity Halter Color Champion. Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose has been breeding for us for several years now and we couldn't be more pleased with the amount of improvement he has made to our herd. In 2014, we consigned Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose to the 2014 Amber Autumn Auction (AAA) and he ended up selling for $90,000, making him the highest-selling Snowmass Matrix Rose offspring to date. He was sold to Daryl and Shirley Krause of Amber Autumn Alpacas in Oregon. A year later we ended up acquiring half ownership of Sizzy with both of us, Amber Autumn Alpacas and Red Granite Ranch, closing Sizzy to all outside breedings. Though his offspring will be offered at both ranches and depending on the year, some outside breedings may be offered. We, Red Granite Ranch and Amber Autumn Alpacas are very happy to announce that Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose won the 2016 Huacaya Herdsire Of The Year, large breeder Division, as well as the 2017 Reserve Herdsire Of The Year Dark-colored offspring, large breeder Division. Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose was mentioned in The American Alpaca Journal, Issue 2, January 2020 in the “Black Ring Demographics” where Sizzy appeared in the top five genetic contributors to the winning black groups in the 2018-19 black ring. Impressive indeed. His ~150 Registered offspring have won around 134 championship banners and 4 AOA National Dark Male Supreme Championships as of 2020. Sizzy is the sire to RED GRANITES VAL D LSERE the 2016, 2017, and 2018 AOA National Dark Male Supreme Championship winner & LIBERTY'S MANIFEST-DESTINY the 2020 AOA National Dark Male Supreme Championship winner. 4/6 Dark Male Supreme Championship trophys have been sired by Sizzy, no other sire has accoplished this!! Sizzy is currently at Red Granite Ranch, and we have decided to close him to further outside breedings. Bred females can be acquired as can his offspring.

Bred to Sizzy for 2023!

Red Granites Tiny Dancer

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Brown
AOA# 35241041DOB: 8/14/201410 yrs
Red Granites Tiny Dancer carries a rather unique blend of genetics. In her pedigree you see a blend of: Shifitn Gears, 4Peruvian Legacy, PPeruvian Victor, Peruvian Hemingway, Peruvian Geronimo, PPeruvian Vengador, and 6Peruvian Elite on the bottom side. And MR Roosevelt, Peruvian Andrajo, Show Me The Money, Peruvian Vicotor and Aussie .38 Special on the top side. SHE IS LOADED IN PEDIGREE TERMS! She is an outcross of genetics and can easily be put with any herdsire here at Red Granite Ranch! Her fleece is bright, crimpy, uniform, and dense even after giving birth to her crias here at Red Granite Ranch. Her Bay Black daughter and Medium Fawn son are two top-class huacayas. She comes with a breeding. With her genetics we would improve them further and outcross them with our new guy; Estates Passionate Fever or even try a Val D Lsere son of color, Alydar or Badger.

Service Sire: Red Granites Alydar By Val D Lsere

2X FUTURITY HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR!!

Red Granites Alydar By Val D Lsere

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Dark Rose Grey
AOA# 35489856DOB: 4/14/20196 yrs
Co-Owned with Kern and Rhonda Deschner of Tierra Prometida Alpaca Ranch When is comes to this male right here, he is simply one of a kind. You could not ask for more, the epitome of excellence: Red Granites Alydar By Val D Lsere. There has never been a Grey Alpaca to stir up as much commotion as this one, and probably never will be. For all that have seen and judged this male, he has been represented as the IDEAL standard for grey fleece. The evenness of his fineness and the astounding density and uniformity that is found within his blanket is simply incomparable. It is a very advanced, high-frequency crimp style from skin to tip, rarely seen in his color group. This crimp style continues right down the leg and into his belly area, also running up through the neck all in a very uniform manner. Judges’ have described his fleece as “angel-like and delicate” with “superior uniformity of micron” and carrying the “dangerous combination of fineness and density”. Alydar was shown at one of the highest level shows, Nationals, and took first place as a juvenile, yearling, 2-year-old, and mature male, he also did so at The Futurity, taking a first place as both a yearling and 2-year-old and then moved into the champion circle. He also won the 2021 Futurity Judges' Choice Male & 2023 AOA National Dark Male Supreme Champion trophy. Many juveniles place well the first year but the real test is if they can stand the same position or even better position the following years, and hold onto their exceptional traits. He has a total of 41 Championship banners, 10 Judges' Choice awards, a Supreme Championship, a Grand Champion, and Spirit of the Industry win to his name, not to mention he was named the #1 National High Point Huacaya Male in 2022 & #3 National High Point Huacaya Male in Fleece for 2023. He became the first gray to win the prestigious Futurity Judges’ Choice award & to win a National Supreme Championship trophy, and also became the second gray alpaca to have won over 30 Championship banners. Nothing about him has wavered in his fleece or body in his maturity over the years. Alydar comes from a generation after generation of champion alpacas. His lineage includes Herdsire of the Year winners: VAL D LSERE, MR SIZLIN ROSE, and MATRIX while also including top color producing sires: MATRIX ROSE, CONOPA, VALENTINO, THELONIUS, KIRWIN, CASANOVA, and SIZLIN HOT. Excellence in COLOR in in this males blood!! Alydar's production has been everything we hoped for and more. He has produced every color. His progeny have also won 40+ Championship banners and his tuxedo gray son won the 2025 AOA National Dark Male Supreme Champion trophy...don't wait on a breeding, he might be closed next time you look!

Description

A former BLACK show girl for us — Sizlin Taboo is ready to get to work for any dark/black-grey breeding program looking to further enhance fineness and density! Red Granites Sizlin Taboo is a maternal granddaughter of our Crescent Moon’s Tennyson a multi-champion dark brown/bay black male sired by Aussie .38 Special. Taboo’s maternal side also has Crescent Moon’s Shiftin Gears, our super-elite white stud male who sadly passed away last year. To find a black ancestor of him, especially a great-granddaughter is currently rare in many cases. Cross in the fact she has Mr Sizlin Rose and .38 Special in her pedigree….she is a rare gem indeed. We sadly did not breed her for a 2022 cria last year so therefore she will be bred this spring. When breeding our blacks, specifically talking about Taboo in this case, we are looking to further enhance her uniformity and fineness while also keeping the density from her sire. We chose Pistol.
