Where to start about Tango? He is in our jr herdsire row anxiously waiting to get his turn to breed. I'm not sure who is more anxious, him or us! He has been healthy and energetic since he came into this world. His dam is one of my favorite dams of all time, Autumn. She herself comes from a rare harlequin carrier, Ppperuvian Betty Jane. Tango's sire, Shasta Springs Kodachrome, inherited his spots from his import dam, Tilama-Chapoco. Put them together and we got Tango!
His disposition matches his good looks, too. With two tries, we got him to jump in the back of our CRV and don a rose garland and take part in a wedding in Nov 2018. It looks like he will be breeding in the fall of 2019 and we look forward to that!
His fiber stats aren't too shabby, either. He is a big improvement on his sire and that is what we are aiming for. His cria will be awesome!
He is not related to any appaloosa alpaca out there. This is one to keep an eye on.
