ARRIBA CORTEZ

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Beige
AOA# 30801585, CLAA# 33176DOB: 9/11/200618 yrs
Cortez may look like your average fawn herdsire, but it is important to know that he has sired Champions in every colour including our 7X Grey Champion Arriba Adonis (from a white dam), 4x Black Champion Arriba Willa and 3x Fawn Champion Arriba Callahan! UPDATE: Cortez has been colour tested! MC1R & ASIP Genotype: ee aa We have several of his daughters in our foundation herd that are either black or they go on to have black crias when bred to colour! He has impacted our breeding program immensely! Cortez is absolutely spectacular! A large male with perfect conformation. Fine fleece with incredible crimp, brightness and density. Great temperment to top it all off. Did we mention unique lineage? Take a look at his AOA certificate His Dam is Cperuvian Cara (Angel), who always produced Champions for us and his Sire, Qolmesa Seville, had very limited use on a small farm. Cperuvian Cara was imported from the Pichacani Farm in 1998, at 2 years of age her histogram was an incredible 16.9, 3.2, 18.9, 0.2 ! Qolmesa Seville was the Reserve Champion Male at the 2004 Alpaca Ontario Show! We bought a breeding from him for Angel. It was the only breeding he did in Canada before he left to live on a small farm in the U.S.A. Cortez is the result of that breeding and the only Seville offspring in Canada! Cortez settled his first females in Spring 2009. His crias look incredible!....HE HAS THROWN EVERY COLOUR FROM WHITE TO BLACK!!**
