Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose (Sizzy) is a simply divine light brown, male with extremely bright fleece, full of high-frequency high amplitude Mirco bundles, as well as carrying a very dense fleece with an amazing handle. Several of the top Judges have called him "The Total Package." With him being an exceptional twelve-time champion, including the 2012 AOBA National Alpaca Show Halter Color Champion & 2012 The Futurity Halter Color Champion. Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose has been breeding for us for several years now and we couldn't be more pleased with the amount of improvement he has made to our herd. In 2014, we consigned Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose to the 2014 Amber Autumn Auction (AAA) and he ended up selling for $90,000, making him the highest-selling Snowmass Matrix Rose offspring to date. He was sold to Daryl and Shirley Krause of Amber Autumn Alpacas in Oregon. A year later we ended up acquiring half ownership of Sizzy with both of us, Amber Autumn Alpacas and Red Granite Ranch, closing Sizzy to all outside breedings. Though his offspring will be offered at both ranches and depending on the year, some outside breedings may be offered. Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose was mentioned in The American Alpaca Journal, Issue 2, January 2020 in the “Black Ring Demographics” where Sizzy appeared in the top five genetic contributors to the winning black groups in the 2018-19 black ring. Impressive indeed. His ~150 Registered offspring have won around 134 championship banners and 4 AOA National Dark Male Supreme Championships as of 2020. Sizzy is the sire to RED GRANITES VAL D LSERE the 2016, 2017, and 2018 AOA National Dark Male Supreme Championship winner & LIBERTY'S MANIFEST-DESTINY the 2020 AOA National Dark Male Supreme Championship winner. 4/6 Dark Male Supreme Championship trophys have been sired by Sizzy, no other sire has accoplished this!! A female who was one of our main contenders in the show ring from 2012 to 2013, winning many Color and Reserve Color championship banners, four if we are counting. Pirouette is one of our main production females, one who we count on to pull dark colors with fineness and density, which she has never failed us with that. Being that she not only passes her fleece characteristics onto her offspring but the championship banner wins as well. Her son, Red Granites Pecos Pete, a True Black male who now resides at EP Cambridge alpacas in Australia was a multi Color and reserve Champion, five altogether. Or her daughter, Red Granites Pixie a female who carries a super-dense fleece, who also now resides at EP Cambridge.

Checkmate was the first born from our 2019 AOA National Supreme Champion Male, Sugarland's Challenger. We are absolutely thrilled that Challenger is producing black. Checkmate's true black fleece carries an amazing crimp style that runs from his top knot to his toes and is so very fine it's hard to take your hands off of him. Checkmate's dam, Lady Middleton is one of our coveted Elite Maximus girls. Middleton also is the dam of Sugarland's Sadie, a nine-time Champion who has now earned her spot in our foundation herd. Middleton has definitely passed her elite fineness onto her true black son and he carries the amazing crimp structure and density of his sire.
