Red Granites Val D Lsere

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Dark Fawn
AOA# 35241263DOB: 5/25/201410 yrs
"This male is something special, an honor to be judging him." - 2018 AOA National Show after winning his third Supreme Championship. 26-time Get of Sire Winner, 2X Herdsire of the Year & 3X Herdsire of the Year Dark-Colored Offspring In the thoroughbred industry, it's often said that you breed the best to the best and then hope for the best. That certainly wasn't the case when Red Granites Val D Lsere took out the Dark Male Supreme Champion award at the AOA National Show for three consecutive years in a row -- all the ingredients were there for a born champion recipe, and they were expertly combined and brilliantly presented. Red Granites Val D Lsere is ONE IN A MILLION. Our first ever alpaca to reach vicuna fine fleece at 13.9 microns with intense curvature at 64.6, making profound impressions in the huacaya breeding programs in his first breeding years, and will continue for many more years to come, he is the TRUE definition of the ideal huacaya. His fleece has been described numerous times by international judges as the most highly developed fleece they have ever seen. Val D Lsere and his successes make him one of the most successful alpacas in US history and judges have said he is the best they have seen. He has a very bright, extraordinarily dense, fine fleece with a merino-type crimp style. Val is a very compact male with a very strong heavy bone structure. All of these traits are being seen in his offspring. He rapidly rose to a legendary level and is, without a doubt, one of the most significant alpacas ever to be born at Red Granite Ranch and possibly in the US, and is one of the most highly decorated alpacas in the world. Val D Lsere is truly revolutionary for the next generation of Huacaya fleeces and genetics. He has produced colors all across the spectrum, including rose and silver-grey. He has already produced AOA National Champions & Futurity Champions. He is shown to be EXTREMELY POTENT with producing top-quality animals no matter the color of the offspring or dam. If you get your hands on his genetics do not let go of them, they are PRICELESS. Offspring have sold for auction at high prices of $40K, $41K, and even $130K!! Considering only two of his offspring lay outside of the US, his lines are extremely favorable here in the US, so if you get a hold of his genetics do not let them go! Fiber and Fleece Description EXQUISITE in all respects. Merino and Vicuna's qualities are pushed together. Red Granites Val D Lsere is the Herdsire who is dominating the New Generation. He is a restricted herdsire, no outside breedings are offered (sometimes open 3-5 per year, check for availability). Offspring may be offered at auction or through private sales. 2022 #1 National High Point Huacaya Male 2022 #2, #7, & #8 National High Point Huacaya Female 2023 #10 National High Point Huacaya Female, Halter 2023 #3, #4, & #10 National High Point Huacaya Male, Fleece

HuacayaBred (Female)True Black
AOA# 32783193DOB: 2/12/201410 yrs
A stunning true black Crescent Moon's Elite Cresdendo daughter, one of the few true blacks and or darks by him! She has a very BRIGHT fleece with a medium frequency crimp style with very good uniformity. In fact, her 2021 EPDs for SDAFD were in the top 15% with a -0.323 value. Meaning, that on average gher progeny will have more uniform fiber diameter than the breed average, which is very much true. Her MSL for 2021 EPDs were in the Top 10% meaning, on average, her progeny will have longer fleeces, which is also very true. She placed first at three of the most prestigious alpaca shows here in the US in the true black classes: The Futurity, Great Western Alpaca Show & AOA National Show. WOW! She is a very nice mother with lots of milk for her crias. She produces very bright fleeces and nice phenotypes within her crias.

Service Sire: Red Granites Pantaleon

Maternal brother to Party Girl!!

Red Granites Pantaleon

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Brown
AOA# 35489757DOB: 5/23/20195 yrs
Red Granites Pantaleon — easily one of the most attractive males we have on the ranch currently. His upright, proud presence with full coverage from head to toes, and impressing density and uniformity make him even more attractive. He is a beautiful deep chesnut color to add, and is a two-time Champion (always standing behind our brown super-champ MR Coronado) from two of our best producing animals at Red Granite Ranch. He is destined to sire many show winning, seed-stock quality offspring. Son of CCNF Legionnaire, our medium fawn Herdsire who was the 2015 Futurity Fawn Male Color Champion winner. Legionnaire is the sire of the densest alpaca biopsied by Ian Watt in the USA, possibly the world (Red Granites Man of Mystery) and also sire to the Canadian Supreme Champion Male (Red Granites Pallaton who now resides in Poland). Legionnaire’s offspring can be found in Poland and at EP Cambridge Alpaca Stud in Australia, while his genetics can be found all over the world, impressive….. Pantaleon is by our best black female, VAC Beethoven’s Primrose who is also a champion, respectively. She is the dam of Red Granites Party Girl (12X Champion, Judges’ Choice winner) the 2019 Futurity Brown Female Color Champion as a juvenile, RGR USA Pride By Val D Lsere the highest selling female at the 2022 Amber Autumn Auction for $41,000, and Red Granites Party Gal By Val D Lsere who at her first show received a first place. Primrose carries Beethoven as her sire, making her a pre potent producer of color…. Pantaleon's first cria arrived in 2023. They range in colors from White to Brown currently, but he has more coming. They have great long staples with and abundant of uniform and fine fibers.

Description

This solid gray girl has been quite the attention getter and conversation starter around the ranch and at shows... Miss Contrary is just a superb young female. She is correct when walking, shows correct proportions across her whole body, straight and square frame, and has a super feminine attitude to her. She is, in our eyes, a complete package female. She is also super-fine giving her an extremely soft handle that feels like clouds when you touch her fleece. Her uniformity and brightness are both second to none and should definitely be talked about. But, what makes her more unique is her staple length. She grows an impressive staple that shows impressive traits, and the judges have all agreed! Currently, Miss Contrary is a seven-time Color Champion winner, respectively. All of her champion wins have been under 6 different judges, including international judge and breeder; Judge Anderson (Pucara International)! Comments from judges include: “She is just lovely…her fleece is so soft with exceptional density levels”…“This is what you want; a Female who walks into the ring like she owns it”…“Congratulations on a winner…” Miss Contrary is by none other than our Red Granites Val D Lsere, who by now needs no introduction. Her dam, Red Granites Miss Conception, is one who needs to be noted. As one of our top black foundation dams, Miss Conception brings in the genetics of Crescent Moon’s Elite’s Crescendo and Greener Pastures Chocolate Thunder (3x Champion, Light Brown). Miss Conception is only 1/3 Black offspring by Crescendo, making her quite special. Besides her impressive genetics, Miss Conception won her classes in 2016 at two of the most prestigious shows in the United States: The Futurity and AOA National Show! So this *little* solid grey girl definitely has it going for her; both in the show ring & out of it, but considering her genetics - definitely not surprising! She’ll definitely make a difference in producing dark offspring, that’s for sure. She will be coming to our foundation herd this summer, unless of course she is snatched up by someone with a good eye! ;) If this animal or any other animal sparks your interest please email or call us today!
