"This male is something special, an honor to be judging him." - 2018 AOA National Show after winning his third Supreme Championship.
26-time Get of Sire Winner, 2X Herdsire of the Year & 3X Herdsire of the Year Dark-Colored Offspring
In the thoroughbred industry, it's often said that you breed the best to the best and then hope for the best. That certainly wasn't the case when Red Granites Val D Lsere took out the Dark Male Supreme Champion award at the AOA National Show for three consecutive years in a row -- all the ingredients were there for a born champion recipe, and they were expertly combined and brilliantly presented.
Red Granites Val D Lsere is ONE IN A MILLION. Our first ever alpaca to reach vicuna fine fleece at 13.9 microns with intense curvature at 64.6, making profound impressions in the huacaya breeding programs in his first breeding years, and will continue for many more years to come, he is the TRUE definition of the ideal huacaya. His fleece has been described numerous times by international judges as the most highly developed fleece they have ever seen. Val D Lsere and his successes make him one of the most successful alpacas in US history and judges have said he is the best they have seen. He has a very bright, extraordinarily dense, fine fleece with a merino-type crimp style. Val is a very compact male with a very strong heavy bone structure. All of these traits are being seen in his offspring.
He rapidly rose to a legendary level and is, without a doubt, one of the most significant alpacas ever to be born at Red Granite Ranch and possibly in the US, and is one of the most highly decorated alpacas in the world. Val D Lsere is truly revolutionary for the next generation of Huacaya fleeces and genetics. He has produced colors all across the spectrum, including rose and silver-grey. He has already produced AOA National Champions & Futurity Champions. He is shown to be EXTREMELY POTENT with producing top-quality animals no matter the color of the offspring or dam. If you get your hands on his genetics do not let go of them, they are PRICELESS. Offspring have sold for auction at high prices of $40K, $41K, and even $130K!! Considering only two of his offspring lay outside of the US, his lines are extremely favorable here in the US, so if you get a hold of his genetics do not let them go!

We are now closing Legionnaire to outside breedings. With hi weight fluctuation and age we think it best to keep him in house. He has many sons working for us!
To say we were excited to partner with Amber Autumn Alpacas with CCNF Legionnaire at the 2014 Breeders Edge Auction would be an understatement, a huge one. In a long run, Legionnaire went on to be the highest selling alpaca at the auction (we bought him for $57,500), figures considering this guys genetics.
This spectacular young male was the 2015 Futurity Fawn Male Color Champion & 2015 AOA National Fawn Male Reserve Champion!! Two of the most prestigious shows in the alpaca industry and he took home purple. Ending his show career with four Judges' Choice awards and nine Championship awards.
By one of the world’s great sires, out of a female from a sensational family line who has made a huge impact on the United States industry, here we have a male bred on a cross that has been proven to produce champions.
CCNF Legionnaire, a son of Snowmass Matirx Majesty, has enjoyed extraordinary success as a sire with championship winners in both the United States and Canada and his offspring being found in Poland, United States, Canada, and Australia. Overall, his offspring have won many championships and even Judges’ Choice and National Championship titles. Even more impressive, his son Red Granites Pallaton (Now resides in Poland) won the 2018 Canadian Supreme Champion Male award, Palltons offspring have had much success in the Canadian show rings themselves. Another son by Legionnaire, Red Granites Man of Mystery (Owned by Willow Wind Farm Alpacas) is the densest alpaca yet biopsied by Ian Watt in the USA, and we have not yet heard of a denser alpaca out there a at a whopping 127.2 follicles/square mm density. His daughter, Red Granites Pixie was sold at the 2018 Amber Autumn Auction for a pretty penny, where she was purchased by EP Cambridge Alpaca Stud in Australia.
Combining Cas-Cad-Nac's powerhouse production female; CCNF Magdalena and Snowmass Matrix Majesty you would only hope for an advanced fleece, Legionnaire carries a extremely advanced fleece. He carried a six year old fleece with a AFD of 17.3 and SD of 2.5, SIMPLY UNREAL numbers for a six year old BREEDING male.
Legionnaire's breedings are limited, please contact us for more information.

Description
Red Granites Brooklyn By Val D Lsere is only direct Red Granites Val D Lsere and Snowmass Matrix Breckenridge daughter we will be offering for sale, as she is currently the only female from that cross. She is the first to be released from her dams offsprings. Her lineage makes a tremendous assest to our breeding program; paternal and maternal, dark and light.
Her Dam, Snowmass Matrix Breckenridge, is in the depth of our color and white breeding programs. She is the dam of: Red Granites Bojangles (2021 AOA National Invited Light Male Res. Champion) and Red Granites Bad Boy (2X Champion and Lead White Herdsire). Breck's dam is non other than Snowmass Cashmina, the distant grandmother of Snowmass Smokin, a former leading dark colored stud for Little Creek/Snowmass Alpacas. At eleven and a half years of age her 2021 EPD's are: AFD 0.67 Top 1%, SDAFD 0.16 Top 1%, SF 0.44 Top 1%, %F>30 0.6 Top 1%, MC 3.44% Top 5%, %M 0.15 Top 1%, FW 4.04 Top 5%.
Brooklyn's full-brother is medium fawn, RGR Bullseye By Val D Lsere who was entered in the 2019 Futurity Auction to sell as Lot #7 to be the first son sold by Val D Lsere, but was pulled do to an injurey which affects his breeding capabilities. His fleece as a three-year-old male reads: 18.3, 3.8, 20.7, 0.9, 57.3, 17.7 with a fleece weight of 10.1 pounds and his 2019 histogram as a juvie reads: 16.6, 3.1, 18.8, 0.4, 55.2, 15.8. He is easily one of our best produced Val D Lsere sons and releasing his FULL-SISTER will hurt us a lot, considering we have still not been able to get a confirmed pregnancy by Bullseye. AOA Judge Wade Gease got his hands on Bullseye at the 2019 MOPACA Show and his comments were "Very boxy frame on such a little guy, his fineness is just amazing and with the density and uniformity....he is a good one, excited to see where he ends up!"
Her other maternal-brother is Red Granites Bad Boy, a white Snowmass Premonition son. Who at 8-years-old holds a Grade 2 fleece and his 2021 histogram reads: 20.3, 3.6, 17.7, 0.9, 47.7, 19.2, at 8 YEARS OLD!
Another great thing about Brooklyn is her 2021 EPDs, take a look at them!
Brooklyn is a stout, well balanced, beautifully fleeced young female who will be ready to breed this spring. She has extremely big-bones with amazing coverage all over, and is in our opinion, the perfect female to get males out of. We reccomend going to Red Granites McCoy or Red Granites Tammerlane, or if you want to add some spice then we suggest Snowmass Premonition to tone down the CV and SD traits...the choice is yours of course, you have 30+ males to choose from!
Fleece Description
Medium Frequency with medium amplitude shown across whole body. Very, very long staple with a very dense fleece.
Red Granites Brooklyn By Val D Lsere is going to be a dominant producer for her new owner. We can discuss who you might want to breed her to. She comes with a non-transferable breeding, and all of Red Granites gurantees.
