Kendall Creek Farms is pleased to announce our 50% ownership of Tres Equis! Congratulations to Rosehaven Alpacas for their acquisition as well, we look forward to a lasting partnership on this prepotent male. Treasure Valley’s Tres Equis is the son of Snowmass XXXtreme, and one of only 3 gray males ever produced by this legendary Snowmass line. A 5-time banner winner, Tres is a large framed male with spot on conformation supporting a fleece that is dense, fine, and maintains an incredible handle for a 11-year old breeding male. How very impressive that this male is producing champions and exhibiting relevance to our industry’s gray community at the age of 11!! Tres is certainly passing these prepotent genetics on to his progeny. Examples include, Rosehaven’s Triple Threat, a gray male having won 23 banners and 4 Judges Choice awards; and a Tres girl that won the gray female Color Champion at the 2019 AOA International Fleece show. These are just two examples of the 87% of his offspring that have been shown and placed in the ribbons. And, since we are going for the gray here, then you will be pleased to know that when bred to a gray dam, Tres has thrown gray 78% of the time! Please Contact us about breedings, his offspring that are for sale, and girls that will come with breedings to this champion maker!!

Description

KCF Luscious (Lush) is such a perfect representative of her dam, we just love her. Not to take away from her paternal side with TVA Tres Equis at the top of her ARI, but Estrella has done such a good job for us; and to have Lush coming up behind her is a great feeling. We think Lush will be able to do all the mighty things her mother has, but with even a higher propensity for the dark side - gray, black, and brown. With her obvious 'half knot' you can tell she is poised to go gray at the drop of a hat. And with the fleece of a light, that should yield a pretty darn nice outcome. Luscious was named early on as we watched her fleece develop as a cria and bloom into long string-like locks that were bright and almost oily in appearance. The structure was just remarkable for her age. Tres Equis has been quite reliable for throwing gray, but even in the case of the occasional color miss, the fleece attributes have always been highly desirable. With Lush we have just such a case. So now we are blessed with this beige girl that will certainly be able to cover the entire color spectrum in high quality - nice 'problem' to have aye? We are taking her straight to a noteworthy gray male as soon as the weather breaks in the spring. The only question is whether that bun in the oven will further develop at our ranch, or yours.... Her price is highly likely to creep up when the breeding is on board....
