GLR Joaquin is the a full brother to the two time 2015 Judges Choice True Black Female GLR Jamiyah. He is a gorgeous dark brown like his mother LCA Jaimica, who is also the mother of GLR Rastamon, the 2015 Dark Reserve Herdsire of the Year at the AAA Futurity. Jaimica has produced nothing but champions no matter who she's bred to and this Picasso son looks to be in the running to follow in his siblings footsteps. His luster, lock, coverage and conformation are right up to par and his micron is 17.7. His show record as a young juvenile is impressive and at just six months he was the Reserve Brown Color Champion at the AOA and 2016 MAPACA Jubilee. Not bad for a youngster! Sombra is a beautiful jet black, high luster, dense female that Brad and Jandy purchased from Nancy Turner of Old Fields Farm. Her presence is incredible and she carries herself regally. She was bred to GLR Picasso and gave birth to a beautiful true black Picasso daughter, GLR Sombria in 2015 was a member of their show string in 2016, winning the Black Female Color Championship at the AOA Nationals, MAPACA Jubilee and GWAS and the Reserve Black Female Color Championship at the AAA Futurity standing next to GLR Miss Phoebe. Given Picasso's track record of three Judges Choice awards with a dark brown and a black female in 2014 and 2015, we are anxious to see if this little girl can keep up with her relatives in 2017! Watch out for this boy he has true potential for future herdsire. Whittaker went on to show in the 2024 show rings as we were EXTREMELY impressed with his regrowth after his first shearing in 2023. His bay black, high luster, dense fleece is just one of the many things that draw your eye to this male. Whittaker's dam, GLR Tica, a Shavano female was one of Great Lakes and Halo Ranch main production/foundation females. Whittaker was biopsied Summer 2024.
