WINGMAN IS SOLD AND NOW BACK IN THE USA! Although he is no longer with us, we are keeping him in our herdsire list as reference as he has profoundly impacted the quality of our herd! Wingman is definitely the best male we have added to our grey herd sire lineup! From the moment we saw him and laid our hands in his fiber, we knew he was very special and could surely contribute in many different ways to our grey breeding program. We feel confident in saying that he is one of the most complete grey male in all of Eastern Canada and his first crop of crias is absolutely incredible! Wingman’s sire is none other than Bea-2 Bomber (.38 Special) one of the most influential grey males in almost a decade in the USA and his True Black Dam is out of the Macusani lineage. Wingman has a typey, compact frame that packs on a ton of beautiful light silver grey fiber exhibiting fineness, uniformity, density and brightness. HIs fiber also has a well-defined crimp with nice amplitude and an amazing staple length for age. He did very well in the show rings in both the USA and Canada. Now that his show career is over, we have him focusing on breeding! Although he has started his breeding career, Wingman remains easy to handle and is calm demeanor has been passed onto his offspring. They are a charm to train and handle and they are exhibiting all of Wingman’s amazing fleece traits. He has produced beautiful head styles and compact frames. We are truly over the moon with his first crias and we look forward to many more out of this exquisite grey male! CONGRATULATIONS to FLEECY DALE ALPACAS for adding this amazing sire to their herd! Wingman has profoundly transformed our grey breeding program and although we are sad to see him leave our farm, we are absolutely trilled that his legacy will continue on in another grey program in the United States. We know he will be in good hands and we will be keeping an eye on what he will be producing south of the border!

Ransom was a "coup de coeur" at a show we attended and well...she came back home with us! She has been part of our best producing classic grey females ever since. Ransom has a compact, boxy frame with a great head style...a real true-to-type conformation and this is what caught our eye first but looking into her fleece was just as impressive! Great density, with a super high frequency crimp and delightfully fine fleece from head to toe. Really the whole package in grey! Although she was competing against one of our top classic grey females at the time (Saona Rose), Ransom was able to hold her own in the show ring! She would have certainly had a few more RC wins and maybe even CC wins should there had been enough grey entries in the shows where she placed right in front or right behind of Saona. Ransom has produced some of our best crias in the last couple of years, her offspring are simply amazing! In 2021, she has produced a stunning rosegrey male (Rusty) out of our Bomber son Wingman. Rusty has an eye-catching conformation just like his dam and he has even won CC at his first fleece show (cria fleece) in the fall of 2022. This little guy will will be shown again in the spring of 2023 and will most certainly become part of our herdsire row when of age! We look forward to having a few more outstanding cria from this amazing female before she retires!

Description

GENOTYPE: EE Aa1 Classic Grey This little guy definitely has the coolest facial markings! A stunning rosegrey male out of our Conopa XXX daughter, Ransom, and our amazing sire Wingman (Bomber) who's now back in the US. It's a first classic grey for Ransom and she made sure he was memorable! On top of his unique facial markings, Rusty's fleece has high frequency crimp, beautiful fineness and uniformity. He also has above average staple length and density to his fleece with great coverage from head to toe. He also has a calm demeanor which is always a big plus. We are really looking forward to seeing this boy grow into what we think will be an great herdsire one day! UPDATE: Rusty will be joining our herdsire row in 2024! Although he is related to some of our best females, we will still make sure to find him some great candidates for his first breeding season. This male is expressing an atypical classic grey phenotype because of his "Aa" genotype but he will produce classic greys at the same rate as a normal "fully expressed" classic grey ("aa"). We plan on favoring females carrying the double ASIP mutation "aa" in order to produce a higher rate of "fully expressed" classic offspring. When producing classic offspring with "aa" females, he will throw the "fully expressed" classic pattern ("aa") and the "atypical" classic pattern (Aa) on a 50/50 basis. We might be open to selling him but not until we can first secure a few offspring out of this amazing boy!
