UPDATE: It is with a heavy heart we are announcing that this Great Macho, Producer of so many Supremes and Champion Son, daughters, and grand offspring has passed away today Sept 11th, 2023. He was the poster child of perfection, in every way. We are very Proud to announce, as of April 08th, 2022, that Foundation was crowned again winning the Sires Cup, giving him the title for the last 2 CNASF Supreme Champion Alpaca's. How many Farms will poste pictures of what their Herd Sires look like at 16 years of age? He is by far the best alpaca investment we have made since getting into alpacas. We were exposed to him when we seen his first offspring displayed at the CNASF by Foxwood Alpacas. It was obvious that their sire was Producing outstanding animals, that had fleece lengths and Presence that was unmatched. So, the path started to get those genetics and when the opportunity came up to buy him we jumped on it. He produces extreme density, fleece lengths, with consistency and longevity. His progeny have solid frames, calm personalities and very showy. He has produced many Champions and Supremes, in both fleece and showring, and all other side attractions, Canada and the USA. He is well recognized for his progeny accomplishments and the quality he produces. He has produced Champions in all classes and in 2019 at the Canadian National Alpaca Futurity produced the Grand Champion alpaca in 4 of the 5 classes and Reserve Champion in the 5th. For a bonus the Judge was the World recognized and highly acclaimed Arturo Pena. His daughter at almost 3 yrs of age Birchleaf Kanita (Brown) went on to win Supreme Alpaca. It was the1st time ever won by a brown alpaca. These accomplishments have never happened before at the CNASF, and shows the prepotency of this male. He was one of a kind and true impact Sire, Some may make this claim about their Sires, but Foundation has proven time and time again ;)

Velvet Touch is one of our top producing females. Her and Foundation are a great match up, and we repeated that breeding for a third time. We never did show her as we had other females at the time in the tough white class that we thought had a slight edge on her and were winning Championships. She has a longer boulder crimp style with decent density and brightness. Her offspring though are stunning, carrying her length of fleece, beautiful head and boxy conformation but with an added density tighter crimp and extreme brightness. She has Great genetics both on top side with Blueridge Accoyo Marksman Mecharios line and MMR Ascott, line on bottom. She is very quiet, easy to work with, a great milker and mother. Velvet Touch came open in 2022. She appears to open again this year, we will try breeding her again this spring.

. We will be offering 3 drive by breeding's to Smokin Gun for 2024 season. With an overnight stay at our farm. What a pleasant surprise when this guy popped out, we were expecting color but not this dark! From day one the quality in this boy was evident, he was small (14 lbs) but mighty. His fleece brightness, tight curls all over and density was impressive. He is line bred with both Foundation and Ascott showing up twice in the pedigree. Smokin Gun was caught out in a terrible storm at about a week old, and got really sick but through perseverance and will power and mega doses of vitamin D3 and vit. C, electrolytes plus and B12 he pulled through. It was around a 2 month + recovery period. But he is a fighter and made it through. His dam Birchleaf Foundations Kanita is our Pride and Joy and has proven her quality time and time again with Championships in both fleece and showring until 3 years old when we retired her after winning Supreme Alpaca at the BIG SHOW - CNASF 2019. His Grand Dam Sunita, was a powerhouse in the showring also, winning multiple Championships in both fleece and in the Showring. His Sire is also a multi Champion in both and is a beast of a male Sired by the outstanding Producer MFI & TNT Peruvian Foundation son of Jeremiah. His advancement of fleece characteristics from ears to knees, with consistency of lock structure and lack of primaries, is our next step to 1 bag shearing :) This Macho has basically no guard hair. We are really excited to see his cria in the spring of 2024. We plan on showing him first then, may offer him for sale.
