Our VADER'S kids have hit the show ring, big time. True black son, Uproar, has been named 2 X AOA Supreme Champion and Judge's Choice at Futurity and GWAS. Vader's son Cinch has been named AOA National Black Champion and Vader son, Lights Out was named Champion black male at GWAS, while Vader son Applejack was named Champion fawn male at GWAS. Vader won the Get of Sire, dark offspring, class at AOA Nationals. What a start for the Vader kids!! VADER is a true black herdsire with exact conformation and top biopsy scores to support his fleece quality. And, he is deep true black offering the possibility of rich color in his offspring. VADER has an outstanding pedigree and is sired by the famous Lazy G's Accoyo Goldstar who was named 2015 Res Herdsire of the Year. Vader's dam, Stone Brook's Midnight Lockdown is a true black multiple champion including AOBA Nationals. Add these genetics to Vader's biopsy scores and you can see why we're so excited about this boy. Vader can definitely add density, luster and fineness to his offspring and his locks are consistent and well defined. VADER experienced a significant fleece break as a youngster and as a result was never shown in full fleece. It remains for his offspring to bring home the banners. In over 20 years, Jamaica is the best we've had at Pines Edge. We retain her twice Supreme Champion son, Uproar. GLR JAMAICA is simply phenomenal! She is a solid jet black with a fleece that just hasn't any equal. Her dense fleece consists of layer upon layer of glistening wave and twist locks and her conformation is exact with strong bone and good capacity topped off with a great Suri head. The Judge's recognized her excellence and awarded her JUDGE'S CHOICE at the 2013 AOBA NATIONAL show. A rare achievement for a black! Here's the proof. Three cria by different studs and all have achieved an AOA National Championship!!! Jamaica is a true black, full Peruvian, rare Shavano daughter. Shavano is a legend at Great Lakes Ranch and Herdsire of the Year, 2010. Her dam is LCA Jaimica, the daughter of one of Snowmass Alpacas favorite suri dams, Snowmass Foxy Lady. Jamaica shows great presence and has a sweet disposition. She is a Futurity Champion and twice Champion at AOBA Nationals. She did it as a juvenile and continued as a yearling to leave judges in awe of her solid build and amazing fleece. Biopsy Report, 28 months, Dr Norm Evans - "GLR Jamaica would place in the top 1% of Suri females based on density, (62), S/P ratio, (13.9), and gland presence, (4/4) ." Jamaica's secondary fibers were rated as 21.4 micron showing great fineness, especially for black. Jamaica delivered a striking, true black female cria, Jetina, in September 2014 sired by Black Beau of PVA. Big thanks to Mike and Janet Wilkins for adding Jetina to their outstanding suri herd. Jamaica's 2016 model is a handsome black boy, Blackrock, by Cinders a Great Lakes Ranch black stud closed to outside breedings. Blackrock was named Res Champion at AOA Nationals and GWAS. In 2017 Jamaica delivered another outstanding cria, a true black son, Uproar, by Vader. This is a solid boy showing great presence with lots of luster and lock. Watch for him in the 2018 shows. We watched, and he is now the 2018 AOA National Suri Male Supreme Champion, Futurity Judge's Choice Suri Male and GWAS Judge's Choice Suri Male. WOW! Jamaica deliver a beautiful true black female, 8/2/2019. This girl is the full sister of two time National Supreme Champion Uproar. Get her quick. Jamaica is bred back to Vader.

LIGHTS OUT earned Champion Black Suri Fleece at the AOA National Fleece Show, in his second fleece ! ! LIGHTS is the spitting image of his older half brother, 2X Supreme Champion, UPROAR. Deep true black, great head, full coverage and lots of luster on well defined locks. Look at his histogram at nearly two years of age. Micron just 17.9, SD 3.7 and comfort factor of 99.1, and he's black!! Lights has some strong men in his pedigree, including Goldstar's Vader, Cinders and Shavano and Lights plans to follow in their footsteps as an outstanding black Suri herdsire. Lights Out was 1st and Black Champion at GWAS, 2019, becoming the first and only boy to have beaten his 2X Supreme Champion half brother, Uproar. GWAS used the two judge system and Judges Jude Anderson and Sara Jane Maclennan placed Lights first in his class and then as Black Male Champion and remarked on his cool soft hand, fineness, luster and density. Due to Covid, Light's show career was cut short and we know he would have continued to impact the show circuit. Lights has grown an amazing fleece with impressive density and NO white spots or fibers. His first fleece, in 2020, received excellent remarks. Judge's notes, "WOW! Secondaries are fine (underlined) for black - quite uniform - many finer primaries in this highly aligned, high luster fleece." His second fleece was shown in 2021 and earned Champion at the AOA National Show. Lights' biopsy, at three years of age, shows density of 77 follicles/sq mm and AFD of just 20.9 microns. Lights is actively breeding now, with offspring on the ground.
