Majestic Meadows is proud to present Snowmass Best in Velvet to its herdsire row! Velvet is the offspring of Snowmass Velvet Touche, Futurity Herdsire of the Year, now owned by Happy Hounds Alpacas. Best in Velvet is another multiple champion that Majestic is proud to have on their stud row. We have only had one offspring out of him so far and she just took 1st and Reserve Champion at just over 7 months old in her first show. His offspring also just won Get of Sire at the 2018 Buckeye Show. We plan on many more crias in 2018 and 2019 as we are very pleased with the results we are seeing to date. His pedigree is a Who's Who in the Snowmass alpaca herd including Legacy Gold, Andean Bronze, Snowmass XXXtreme, Snowmass Elite, Don Julio, Hemingway, Quechua, and Royal Rose, just to name a few. Mistress has produced seven cria for us, SIX of those being female, and very nice ones! She will be 15 this year and so is not for sale. She is currently bred to Snowmass Best in Velvet. She definitely has earned her right to retire and spend her last years here. Her 2022 male cria is spectacular and will going to her first show this spring.

Wolfgang's cria are holding their own in the show ring! We are excited with the consistency that Wolfgang is producing improved fleece, conformation, density, color, and phenotype. Wolfgang is throwing true black and darkening the dam. He is consistently improving the dam. We especially like the robust general health, large strong straight bone structure, highly developed fleece with micro bundling, density, and gorgeous phenotype complete with full face coverage. Color genotype for Wolfgang is EEa1a3. Having an a3 allele has proven consistently to produce that rich blue-black in our herd. It is being passed through multiple generations and they are non-fading true blacks. Wolfgang has no dilution and carries both black alleles. It will be very unlikely that he would produce light offspring and all offspring will cover black. We are excited to have this information to assist in our breeding decisions. We are thrilled to add Wolfgang to our foundation herd. His fleece is exceptional. Wolfgang's conformation and bone structure are spot on. He is a handsome and gentle male.
