El Nino offspring have graced many showrings throughout his breeding career, many of those taking away the purple banner. El Nino is the son of PPeruvian Caligula, one of the most important studs in the history of the North American alpaca industry. Mike Safley stated, "Caligula died in 2003 with 203 registered offspring. His progeny won 12 get of sire competitions, two of those at AOBA National shows. Once he was 2nd in the get class at the Nationals, losing to his son Accoyo’s El Nino’s first place get. His sons and daughters have won 17 championships at the largest shows in the U.S., not counting the breeder’s best awards. Today Caligula’s offspring are working in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and England." Frieda's grandsire through her dam is PPPeruvian Cahuide. He was directly imported from Accoyo, Peru. He was a legend passing on strong bone, regal stature, density, uniformity in fleece character, a short muzzle and lot and lots of fiber. Frieda's first daughter, Our Shiloh's Mariah, is a stunner. Judges thought so, too. Her second daughter, Our Shiloh's Liliana, is in my opinion, the best offspring produced in the 12 year breeding program at Shiloh Springs Ranch. That's the reason I repeated the same breeding that she is carrying right now. Another Lily or even a male offspring with that fleece...can't wait!! Update 9/28/18: Frieda did it again... gave us another Lily!! She's gorgeous, beautiful bright white fleece, just like her big sister. Her name... "Our Shiloh's Seraph". UPDATE 4/16/19: It was so exciting today to get back the histogram results from this year's shearing, especially all of those from Frieda's lineage. Frieda's histogram at 9 years old: 19.9 AFD, 4.3 SD, 21.4 CV, 2.3%>30, Spin Fineness 19.4 microns. Awesome! Her 4-year old daughter, Liliana's histogram came back at: 16.3 AFD, 3.6 SD, 22.2 CV, 0.5%>30, Spin Fineness 16.0 microns!! Her new daughter, Seraph's histogram: 15.9 AFD, 3.3 SD, 20.9 CV, 0.3%>30, Spin Fineness at 15.4 microns!!
