Wooly head and stunning fleece in dark rose grey, full Peruvian – out of The Aga Khan! Amaro Khan's bloodlines are amazing. He is full brother to the impressive Champion Kubla Khan who lived at our farm in 2012 and gave us four amazing crias in 2013. His half sister Khan's Cocoabean is also a Champion & Reserve Champion. All three are dark rosegray and look almost identical. We have been so impressed with this bloodline that we added not only Amaro, but Cocoabean to our herd in late 2013. We can't wait to start seeing our first Amaro crias in 2015.
Amaro’s sire “The Aga Khan” is an 11 time Championship winner and 5 time Get-of-Sire winner. He is descended from Shere Khan possibly the most famous herdsire in Peru, who sired the Vendagor/Capac line. The Aga Khan has many award winning offspring who continue his legacy of success, including Amaro Khan who won Reserve Color Champion at the 2010 National Show competing against silver grays, and Blue Ridge Color Champion the same year. Amaro's rich color comes from his maternal side. His Dam’s sire is a TB and his grandsire is an award winning Dark Silver Grey. He is even more beautiful than his full brother! So far, Amaro has 4 registered crias in colors from Dark Fawn to True Black.
