WHISTLING PINES BOLD RULER

SuriHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 35117803DOB: 7/22/20159 yrs
Bold Ruler represents the coupling of two prepotent Suri lines. His sire is SBS Crown Prince (Accoyo Crown Royale son) and Crown Prince is the winner of 5 banners including 2 at Nationals & 1 at Futurity. Crown Prince has claimed fifteen get of sire blue ribbons. Bold Ruler's maternal grandsire is the legendary HHSF Accoyo Lafite's Mont Blanc. Mont Blanc is a 3x Judge's Choice winner, is a 7 time banner winner including Nationals & Futurity, and has 7 get of sire wins. Mont Blanc has been top 1% in 5 or 6 of the 7 EPD fleece traits year after year. Crown Prince offspring are known for having amazing luster, and Bold Ruler is no exception. He claimed the Reserve Champion banner in his first show, and the judge noted an "exorbitant amount of luster". If a person adds to that his cool, slick handle, his excellent fineness and uniformity, and his well-organized lock with density, then with Bold Ruler’s fleece you have the complete package. Bold Ruler stands straight and correct. His demeanor is excellent with a calm, confident personality. His first shearing produced an impressive amount of fleece at 10 months of age, tipping the scale at just under 6 pounds of grade 1 fiber and with locks longer than 6 inches. Bold Ruler has excellent EPDs! Check them out by clicking on the EPDs link. The amazing thing is that Bold Ruler had a skin biopsy done by Ian Watt in the spring of 2018 and it backed up all the things his EPDs say he brings to the table. His density on the biopsy was an excellent and way above average at 68.9 follicles per sq mm. His primary fibers AFD was 21.6 microns while the secondary fibers AFD was 17.7 for only a 3.9 micron spread. The SDs for those two fiber populations were 2.3 and 2.0 respectively and all the primary fiber sizes fall within the secondary fibers size range, a highly desired trait to pass on to his offspring. He shows outstanding uniformity in his fleece and these results lead to Ian Watt stating in his concluding comments, “The uniformity in this Suri male is spectacular and is the best we have tested!” We are proud to co-own Bold Ruler with Whistling Pines Ranch in Wisconsin. We feel Bold Ruler will be an impact male in our herds and he could be one for your herd, too. Contact either of us to arrange a breeding to this stellar young male. He will be standing stud in Wisconsin in 2023.

Dam: PRINCESS JEZIRA

JUDGE'S CHOICE PRODUCER!!

PRINCESS JEZIRA

SuriBred (Female)Medium Fawn
AOA# 35117841DOB: 8/23/201410 yrs
Princess Jezira is a beautiful medium fawn female. She has excellent lineage...sired by USA Peruvian Jeremiah (Kalvin & MacGyver), who has great EPD stats across the board, was 2x Judges Choice, and has multiple banners to his credit. On the bottom we find Mont Blanc (Baron & Ramilo), who is consistently ranked in the top 1% for multiple EPD traits, has multiple Judges Choice awards, multiple banners, and multiple Get-of-Sire awards. Jezira's fleece is exquisitely fine, (maintaining a grade 1 through her first two shearings), highly lustrous, with great uniformity. She has excellent EPDs and you can see those by clicking on the link. Jezira participated in just one show, earning a 2nd place ribbon in a tough class at the 2015 MOPACA Invitational. She's a more petite female, but her frame has good width and she has had no trouble having crias. She's small, but feisty. Jezira had a 19.4 lb. beige male cria sired by Bold Ruler on 6/22/2019. We named him Jerrick and he looks like he has the potential to have a very nice fleece. The phenotype is quite nice, too, and we can't wait to see how he develops. The potential of that fleece was met because Jerrick earned an advanced fleece award at a fleece show in the summer of 2020 with a score of 82. Jezira had a 12.8 lb. fawn female on 6/16/2020 that was sired by our boy Comet. She's a beautiful girl with a fleece that has a great staple length and very good luster. She grew really well and done OK at shows. She usually places in the middle of the pack in the fawn classes she in which she has been shown. She may have been small when born, but this girls has very good size to her now and we are keeping her as a production female. On 7/23/21 Jezira had a 14 lb female cria sired by Page Master. We are impressed. This girl is outstanding from her exemplary Suri phenotype to an exceptional fleece. That fleece is fine, organized, lustrous, and dense. The little girl has wrinkled skin. She grew very well, developed a fine, dense, and lustrous fleece. We named her Little Princess. She won a reserve champion banner at 8 months of age! She was sold to Big Timber Alpacas and her first shearing won a RC banner at The National Fleece Show. At the Suri Network show it was CC and Judge's Choice. Like it was stated, we are impressed! On 7/28/22 Jezira had a 16 lb female cria sired by Challenger. Not as impressive as the last cria, but very nice nonetheless. She's very lustrous with beautiful little icicle locks. Her phenotype is spot on and we can't wait to see how she develops. We've named her ANDACAL Page's Princess Jasmine. On 8/27/23 there was a full sister to Little Princess born. Jezira had a 16.8 lb beige female cria. She is going to be very nice, and she just glows with luster. The fleece is fine and organized. It's hard to tell if she'll be as nice as her full sister, but she shows a lot of potential. Keep an eye out for her. Jezira has been bred to Galaxy and is due late April 2025.

Description

Jerrick is the first cria sired by our herdsire Whistling Pines Bold Ruler. We are excited to get crias sired by him and we are especially excited by this first one Jerrick. Bold Ruler is a combination of two prepotent Suri lines. His sire is SBS Crown Prince (Accoyo Crown Royale son). Crown Prince was the winner of 5 banners including 2 at Nationals & 1 at Futurity. Crown Prince has claimed fifteen get of sire blue ribbons. Bold Ruler's dam is a daughter of the legendary HHSF Accoyo Lafite's Mont Blanc. Mont Blanc is a 3x Judge's Choice winner, is a 7 time banner winner including Nationals & Futurity, and has 7 get of sire wins. Mont Blanc has been top 1% in 5 or 6 of the 7 EPD fleece traits year after year. The combining of these two genetic lines have produced in Bold Ruler a male with great conformation. His fleece characteristics are what really get your attention. He has very good EPDs, but his biopsy is amazing. He has a well above average density of 68.9 and only a 3.9 spread between the low micron AFDs of his secondary versus primary fibers. The amazing thing is that the range of the size of all his primary fibers fall inside the range of the size of all his secondary fibers. All this points to a fleece that has outstanding uniformity. Add to that the fact that it's a fleece with an outstanding lock structure and great luster and you can see why we think Bold Ruler will also be a prepotent herdsire in his own right. With all we've stated so far we feel we can safely say Jerrick has prepotent genetics from his sire, but his dam Princess Jezira has outstanding genetics in her pedigree, too. First, let's start by saying there is line breeding in Jerrick because Jezira's dam is also a Mont Blanc daughter. Those outstanding Mont Blanc fleece genetics are therefore found in one fourth of Jerrick's genetics. Jezira's sire USA Peruvian Jeremiah has excellent fleece characteristics, too. Jeremiah has great EPDs and at different fleece shows he won best lock, best luster, and best handle each two different times. Add to that the fact that in halter he won Judge's Choice at Nationals in 2010. Jeremiah also adds exceptional quality genetics to the pedigree of Jerrick. As we said, we are really excited about Jerrick. He is herdsire material if you want to improve your fleeces. His second fleece is coming in beautifully aftet the first one was awarded an Advanced Fleece Award this past summer and had a histogram with an AFD of 17.7 microns and a standard deviation of that AFD of 3.0 microns. Yes, an amazing 3 micron standared deviation. In addition to the fleece, his conformation has great fleece coverage, excellent bone, and a solidly built frame. We want to continue to use his sire Bold Ruler and don't need him as a future herdsire so we are willing to listen to reasonable offers for him. Also, if we don't sell him as a herdsire, we are willing to sell him as a nonbreeding fiber alpaca for 10% of the asking price listed.
