We did not shear Ascott the spring of 2024, as with his age and body condition with age, we felt it would be best to give him better protection from the cold winters here in Northern alberta. Son Birchleaf Foundations Ziba, Won Grand Champion white male at the April 9th/10th ALPACA Spring Show (largest in Canada) . At almost 6 yrs of age! We bought Ascott to add fineness and stunning Presence to our herd. We were looking for the combination of Alpamayo and Ivano, after seeing their offspring in the showring. After getting multiple fibre samples from males across North America, Ascott stood out, for fineness, lack of primaries and consistency of variation of micron. His 3 yr old histogram is 17.3, 3.2, 18.2, and 0.3 over 30mic. We showed him at 54 months of age against all ages of white males where he took Grand Champion. The judge at the time commented "that this 54 month old male is as fine as the juveniles in his color class". His progeny are vigorous, prepotent, stylish, stunning conformation and have consistency of fibre diameter across the body. Ascott daughters won Supreme Champion female at the Northlands Alpaca International Odyssey 3 years in a row, 2011 Birchleaf Exotica, 2012 Birchleaf Sunita and 2013 Birchleaf Zena (Also CNASF Supreme) before the show was moved. Ascott is now retired from breeding and will live out his days on our farm.

Really this girl needs no bragging up, as she has proven herself to be one the best alpacas to set foot on Canadian soil. She proved this at almost 3 yrs of age at the CNASF 2019, where in front of world recognized Alpaca Judge Arturo Pena, she was placed Supreme Champion against all, including the males. An amazing feat as she was highly considered for this position the previous year. She was the first Brown alpaca to win the CNASF and the first Brown Female to win. Kanita has won multiple Championships in both Fleece and Show ring. Picture perfect Phenotype with a super dense, consistent fleece. Her fawn colored dam Birchleaf Sunita is a Supreme herself and multi Champion and her sire is the great Stud MFI & TNT Peruvian Foundation. Here is something amazing Kanita and her dam were 17.7 micron on there 1st - May shearing :) Kanita's 1st cria is a dark steel Grey male, watch for this guy :) She is the ultimate female producing new generation offspring..
