We're excited to add Rider to our herdsire line-up! Not only does he have perfect confirmation, a very soft fleece, and a great personality, but he's also covered in SPOTS! Another cool fact - he's unrelated to all of our all appaloosas and harlequins. Rider's sire, TCB Dante, is a dark fawn male that definitely has "the look" along with some great fleece qualities that he was able to pass down. His dam, Golden Touch's Cover Girl, is black with a few white points. She has one other registered appaloosa offspring that is unfortunately deceased - both did well in the show ring! This guy is super easy going and has produced two beautiful crias for us so far - a fading fawn (perfect for appy production) and an awesome appaloosa! Since we plan on keeping him in our herdsire line-up for the foreseeable future, check out the opportunities to add of of his kids to your farm!

Beautiful Harlequin Girl!

FPC Peruvian Aiko

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Fawn, Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 32069969DOB: 6/11/201113 yrs
Aiko was a beautiful, medium rose grey harlequin. She had a great staple with loads of soft, bright fiber - not to mention, she was covered in fleece from head to toe. She had great confirmation, and her head was absolutely beautiful. She was the only registered offspring of TGA Mario - a ribbon winning, appaloosa herd sire out of a long line of spots including Senna's Zoey and 6Peruvian Century. Her sire's lineage also included big names like Peruvian Hemingway and 6Peruvian Bruna. Her dam, Zenith's Peruvian Kismit, was a medium fawn girl with some impressive names behind her as well. Her lineage includes PPPeruvian Royal Fawn, Majestado De Peru, 6Peruvian 007, and many more. Aiko was a phenomenal girl - one that we feel privileged to have had as part of our herd. Unfortunately, we lost her due to birthing complications. We are lucky to have 3 of her spotted daughters to carry on her memory in our herd. She was 6 for 6 when it came to spot production - definitely one of those game changing girls in the spotted world. She will be truly missed. unique harlequin!

Illini's Deuces Wild

HuacayaJr. Herdsire (Male)Beige, Light Fawn, Medium Fawn, Light Rose Grey, Medium Rose Grey, True Black
DOB: 6/25/20177 yrs
Deuce is more than I had hoped for! He is very unique Harlequin Appaloosa. When he was first born I thought, 'oh. a pinto'. But when he started drying off and I saw the spots on his head first, I then knew he was something much, much more. He looks very much like his mother, Willo (aka Rocky) but his fiber is a huge upgrade! He has awesome density and it has a very soft handle with good bone density. Add to that is his personality. Deuce is inquisitive, always looking to see what I'm doing and likes to hang out with me. He will eat grain out of your hand. I do not pet him or handle him much but when I walk by him I will put my hand on his back and he just stands there and doesn't kick. Got to love a boy that doesn't kick! Duece has gone through several color changes in the past year. I'm not sure if he is done yet. I have some harlequins that have retained some fawn color. But not like this. His harlequin color is very dramatic and the only other one like him that I have seen is his dam, although she has no fawn on her now. So will Deuce continue to change color or remain the same--who knows? It will be an interesting journey. He is on our Junior Herdsire Row with those small ears, that teddy bear face and we hope to be able to breed him next fall. I look forward to the babies he will create. registration pending. will post when it arrives.

Description

This girl was such an awesome surprise! We love it when they are covered from head-to-toe in spots. We carefully planned her breeding based on the genetics of her sire Golden Touch's Easy Rider and FPC Peruvian Aiko in hopes of producing an unrelated, harlequin appaloosa to breed with our elite herdsire, Excelsior's Patriotic Spirit. Queenie is just what we ordered. We can't wait to see all of the spotted offspring she produces.
