Crescent Moon's Wilkinson

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 32670981DOB: 4/5/201311 yrs
Epic Alpacas is pleased to announce the addition of Crescent Moon's Wilkinson to our outstanding lineup of herdsires! Wilkinson is a 10-time Champion and more notably, he's the back-to-back National Color Champion, taking the highest grey male honors at AOA in both 2015 and 2016! Most recently, as a 3.5 year old, he took the Color Championship at the 2016 Alpaca Breeders Invitational in a very competitive group of greys, proving that even after having cria on the ground, he's still got it! It's no wonder that Wilkinson is such an impressive male. His sire, Accoyo America Jason, is a legend in his own time, winning AOBA Nationals Color Champion in brown three years running. It is rare to find such exquisite crimp, character and density of fleece as Jason. Even better, Jason has consistently reproduced those characteristics in his crias, at such a high level that even his white offspring are consistently ribboning in the competitive white classes, and many of his progeny are champions! Wilkinson's dam, Crescent Moon's Forget Me Not, is also a Color Champion in her own right, winning 10 blue ribbons and 4 banners, including 2010 Futurity Grey Female Reserve Color Champion and 2014 CABA Classic 1st Place Produce of Dam. Wilkinson's cria have started arriving here at Epic and we are THRILLED! So much density, so much character, so much grey! His eldest male offspring, Crescent Moon's Subasio, has started making his impact on the show circuit in Fall 2017 with a number of blues and a Reserve Championship at an amazingly competitive double show in Oregon.
Enormous thanks to Scott and Debbie Miller of Crescent Moon for sharing this incredible male with us - we are honored and delighted to be partners with them! Wilkinson is going to make one heck of an impact here and on the future of grey huacaya breeding!

Nutmeg Frost de la Flor

HuacayaOpen (Female)Dark Silver Grey
AOA# 1378702DOB: 9/20/200519 yrs
Nutmeg's sire is 4X Grey Champion Emerald Farm's Calypso Cloud and her dam is AOBA National Blue Ribbon winner, Lindsey. Her dark silver grey son, Andean Silver Spice, is also a Blue Ribbon winner. Though she appears a dusty brown, when you open her fleece she is fabulous dark silver grey - who produced grey when bred to grey. Nutmeg had a beautiful medium fawn boy on June 19, 2013 out of Knight's Bravo (#31002455), whose lineage includes Peruvian Mahogony Knight, Peruvian Drambui, and Peruvian Hemingway. This cria, named Hyperion, has got tons of fleece and the sweetest disposition! On November 22, 2014 Nutmeg had a gorgeous medium silver tux grey girl from our Avatar son, silver grey herdsire, Avatar's Avalance . The product of two Blue Ribbon winners, this cria looks to be quite spectacular! On December 31, 2015 Nutmeg had a strong, healthy true black boy from our 4x champ silver grey herdsire, Sebastian! Nutmeg is an easy keeper and great mom with lots of milk. She also loves to foster other crias as you can see from the photo above. In 2019, Nutmeg produced her carbon copy when bred to our 2x National Champ Grey Herdsire, Wilkinson! Her dark silver grey daughter is a stunner and will be a great addition to her breeding program!
