CCNF Magnar

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Fawn
AOA# 35370765DOB: 10/14/20168 yrs
There truly is only one reigning queen in the Cas-Cad-Nac Farm foundation herd and her name is Magdalena. From the time she was born in ’04 to her aging but still undeniably powerful dam (PPeruvian Jesusa, who had arrived just a year prior with Maggie’s older full brother, Golden Sovereign, at side as part of the female component of our purchase of the North American Alpaca Stud) we knew that Magdalena was something truly special. Taken with her niece, CCNF Moonlight (Golden Sovereign x Snowmass Peruvian Sunstarlight), who is only two years her junior, they are the undisputed matriarchs of that most prepotent maternal line. It is a family group that taken in full, has had more representatives on our show teams that any other line in our breeding program’s 24 year history. So that was a really long introduction to basically say that CCNF Magnar’s dam is a bonafide living legend. Don’t take our word for it though, check the AOA database: it’s all there. So how do you know you’re in pretty good shape from a pedigree standpoint? How about when your sire who is a 2-time Futurity Herdsire of the Year is arguably the weaker link (sorry Elix) on your registration certificate? Though it’s all relative, the bottom line is that Magnar is stacked. Though he has not had as splashy of an entrance on the show circuit as various family members from both his maternal and paternal side, to underestimate him would be foolish. Dense, fine, uniform and bright, and with a propensity to hold that fineness over time - are traits not nearly as common as one might believe. In this case, we are happy to share these genetics and offer them as a relative value for outside stud service. We are also happily expecting his first crias here in our foundation herd in 2021...watch this space for updates.

Dam: CCNF Dorianna

Beethoven's Dorian Daughter

CCNF Dorianna

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Fawn
AOA# 32677362DOB: 12/17/201212 yrs
As written by CCNF: "Meet the goose that lays the golden eggs. Dorianna comes from the same closely held maternal line that produced CCNF Legionnaire, our Champion fawn Herdsire that headlined the 2014 Breeders Edge sale in Virginia and went on to win (amongst others) Championships at both the 2015 Great Western Alpaca Show (where he was also the JC male) and the 2015 Futurity for his new owners! Dorianna's dam, Lilah, our Champion and Judges' Choice female, is the second daughter ever born to an all-world foundation female, CCNF Magdalena, and is paternally the daughter of Snowmass Royal Challenger. Dorianna's younger maternal sister, CCNF Delilah, has been tearing it up on the show circuit for us since April of 2016 and was again a key player this year, including winning the Reserve Light Female Championship at the 2017 AOA National Fleece Show. Dorianna's sire is, of course, Beethoven's Dorian, who has won multiple Championships and Judges' Choice awards in his own right and needs no introduction. The short version is that this young Female's genetics are stacked! Daughter CCNF Lyanna has won 6 Halter Championships and one Reserve Championship in Fleece! Daughter CCNF Heidrun won 7 1st place ribbons in halter classes. Son Colonial Summer Dreamer won 5th and 4th in halter classes. Son, Arcani took a 2nd at the 2022 Futurity, Doriann delivered a female sired by CCNF Moonraker (sire of Colonial Dimitri) on July 2, 2024

Description

Arcani takes a second at the 2022 Futurity. Arcani was the only cria born on my farm in 2021. He was not cria shorn and took a second in a competitive class. The judge commented on the fineness, density, and consistency of fiber. I look forward to showing him this fall.
