Snowmass Matrix Majesty was the Reserve Dark Herdsire of the Year award at the 2011 Futurity as well as the Fawn Champion at the 2010 Futurity and with good reason too. Since that time he has had several crops of crias born here at Cas-Cad-Nac and to say that he has been impactful in our breeding program, would be a gross understatement. In addition to multiple Championships and Judges' Choice awards (at both the 2014 AOA National Show and 2014 Futurity) his offspring have also combined to win multiple Get-of-sire classes for their all-world sire. Majesty was also the winner of the Futurity Herdsire of the Year awards again in both 2013 and 2014. Matrix Majesty is the genetic amalgam of some of the greatest names to ever grace the North American alpaca herd. Herdsires such as Chaccu, Legacy, Hemingway, Quechua, Matrix, Elite, Augusto, Accoyocusani, and Bueno are all present. Also present in his pedigree are the famous rock star dams PPP Prestige, 4P Isabella, PP Jesusa, and Snowmass Maree Love, the first three of whom we also had the great privilege of having here in our foundation herd late in their lives. Needless to say, the genetics in this guy are stacked and it shows. Snowmass Matrix Majesty displays the amazing fleece characteristics that the Quechua line has become known for: the combination of elite fineness and uniformity throughout while sacrificing nothing in density. Now fully owned by CCNF and used almost exclusively within our own herd where we play him off of the CCNF Elixir and CCNF Royal Ring of Fire lines, as of January 2017 Majesty is closed for outside stud service.

Description

The maternal grandson of one of our all-time favorite alpacas, CCNF Luciano is thought to be perhaps the densest alpaca born here on this farm in 2020. His aforementioned maternal granddam, Delicate Lace, left us prematurely in 2018 (and within 2 months, in a streak of freakish ill-fortune, we lost both of her two adult daughters as well: we couldn’t make it up if we tried) leaving only her young daughter, CCNF Lucretia (Luciano’s future dam) and her older full brother, CCNF Declan, both of whom were sired by CCNF Elixir. Delicate Lace was an animal we had long coveted when she was owned by our friends, the Munro family, of Tripping Gnome Farm. So when Ryen and Ursula offered us first crack at their foundation herd, as they elected to get out of the business, Delicate Lace was at the very top of our wish list. We have now spent the past few years painstakingly rebuilding that maternal line after the tragedies of ’18, particularly with the help of Declan, who after siring just a few crias for us in 2020, left us so impressed with that small sample, that this year he has seven crias now on the way, most remarkably stealing females that would have otherwise assuredly gone to his paternal brother, Bataclan. The quick ascendancy of Luciano’s maternal uncle within the ranks of the CCNF Stud Barn (we in fact already have long term plans for Declan’s young son, CCNF Elias), means that we are able to offer this striking future Herdsire for sale. Of course fleece density doesn’t get you anywhere if the animal in question is lacking in either fineness, brightness, or uniformity - and luckily, Luciano lacks none of those! Like all of our young unproven males, we are of course proud to offer CCNF Luciano for sale with a full reproductive guarantee.
