This good-old Monté-Cristo is with us since 2008, purchased shy of his weaning days. He has always been in direct competition for breeding against his sire, MMR Marcoyo (who wouldn’t pick Marcoyo first back in those days?), his cousin/paternal brother the ever-handsome Mortimer, and his 2 uncles Andrade and Figaro. I could also add that we owned his older full sister too, Theodara, in addition to her daughters! Although underused in our program, he has proven himself to be worthy of the task with his progeny performances in the showings, granting him a 3rd place out of 9 in Get of Sire back in 2015. He combines some of the best names you could find in Canada from the 2000’s with Victor’s Vaccoyo, Coyo Destini and some Jolimont imports. For our part, we’ve moved from this era with newer genetics, leaving once again Monte as an unused male at our farm… However, these old*er* traits her carries could perhaps bring something great to the table. Staple length and bold crimp. Monte produces offspring with 6” staples and beautiful crimp styles!

Coming from award-winning lines on both sides, Lady-Ann du DNA is a conformationally solid female. Her dam is one of our first female, Ghost River Shy-Ann, a Champion daughter of Jolimont Peruvian Alpamayo. On her sire side, she comes from the line of MMR Arequipina (Coyo Destini) and Jolimont Peruvian Ringo. Ann passes on to her offsprings her beautiful boxy conformation along with a heavy cutting fleece weight due to great staple length and density, in addition to a high-amplitude architecture. In 2023, Ann outdid herself producing a gorgeous looking female, Miss Aneth du DNA. Aneth has an elegant appearance and proud stance, along with the prettiest head style out of the 2023 cria crop. Her fleece combines density, staple length and well-defined crimp uniform throughout her whole blanket. Combining Lady-Ann du DNA to Alpacajoy Excelsior, our CCNF Elixir son, exceeded our expectations. She comes rebreed to Alpacajoy Excelsior for a 2024 cria.
