FOR SALE, 50% OWNERSHIP IN MAJESTIC'S MAN AMONG MEN!!!! Majestic's Man, a Jumanji son, has it all. This pre-potent male now has 28 offspring. Most importantly a long winning show record for Man and his offspring for both fleece and halter. Man's show record as a juvenile is unmatched, starting with the 2016 Futurity and ending with being in the running for Supreme Champion at the 2017 AOA Nationals. Majestic's Man's fleece density is likely in the top 100 alpacas in the AOA database. His 2022 fleece weighed in at 14.5 pounds. This trait of density is definitely passed on to his offspring. His fleece weight EPD is 1.25%. Now, having had many offspring of Man's in my herd, I can assure anyone interested in breeding that he will produce density in all his cria. One of his offspring, Rockstar's Material Girl took all the top fleece honors at the Gold Country Gathering in 2021. Majestic's Man's fiber and phenotype are all Jumanji. The only difference is his fiber is light, but don't let the light fiber shy you away, there is ample color in his background. Man has been genetically color tested and those results are available upon request. During his show career, every time his fleece was shown it was classified as white, in halter beige. Man's breeder Faye Farley of Majestic Meadows describes Man Among Men as having a "Breathtaking fleece and breathtaking phenotype". "An excellent combination for sure!" All you have to do is look at this fiber and you know he was destined for greatness. AOA agrees by giving Man a first place in white male juvenile fleece in 2016 AOA National Fleece show. The most striking quality is his uniformity. We purchased him on the spot and then he went into the show ring at six months. He won first for light and color champion in a very large 2016 field of alpacas.

Dam: River's Rumor Has It

River's Rumor Has It

HuacayaOpen (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 35038726DOB: 6/5/20168 yrs
Rumor is the product of grandfather Apocalypse who has renowned EPD's and dam Stargazer's Angelina. Sire, Royal Rumble, is the offspring of 6PERUVIAN ROYAL GOLD 5002 IMPR98. Royal Gold was a prolific prepotent breeding fawn herd sire. We took a chance on her sire Stargazer's Royal Rumble with his good EPDs and histogram. Rumor has one of the best histograms on the farm and she has some very nice trait values across the spectrum of EPD traits. Her AFD at five is 20 with an SD of 4.0 and CV of 19. Rumor is proven X2 with no birthing issues and healthy cria. Rumor's color is light fawn the the color looks like spun gold. Her Density is very good, staple is excellent and luster & brightness is great. What guard hairs she does have they are extremely fine. If she has a fault it would be the coverage on the face. I can live with that with the quality of fiber she is producing. I expect her fiber to be grade one far into the future. In visualizing her AFD in the 2021 cut my evaluation is again a grade 1. Rumor has famous lineage on top and bottom. Grandfather El Bello, who is one of the most prolific Stud Masters of all. I love it when I find an alpaca with El Bello in a generation close to what I am buying. Father And Grandfather, Gold and Rumble's genetic profiles are amazing for fineness and uniformity of fineness. All her EPDs are incredibly desirable. We could not be more pleased with the selection of Royal Rumble to improve Angelina's offspring's fleece statistics and traits. Take a look at Rumor's well rounded EPDs, under the DNA icon on this page. We at Colusa Riverside have improved our fineness to a significant degree with our 3rd, 4th & 5th generations of dams, we are now at grade 1 & 2 microns consistently in all offspring. We are now working on our uniformity of fineness as is evidenced in the histogram & EPD AFDSD. To us, it is much more important to have well rounded EPD profile across all traits. Having animals the 5% to 10% range is our goal, but these percentiles across the entire fleece versus having a 1% in just one or two fleece traits. So, Rumble does that for his offspring and now so will Rumor. Rumor is being bred to Majestic's A Man Among Men who we hope he will pack on the density even more than Rumor already has. Man has significant color in his background so it would be nice to get color even though we are in a white breeding program, I just love fawns.

Service Sire: Red Granites Pruet by Bad Boy

Stunning New Herdsire to our Ranch

Red Granites Pruet by Bad Boy

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 35489665DOB: 6/30/20186 yrs
Red Granite's Pruet by Bad Boy we hope will have the same longevity of fineness that his father has, Bad Boy. You can look under the sire tab on this page to see the AFD measurements on Bad Boy over the past 8 years. Pruet's first 3 histograms look like he will continue with this long line of longevity. All three of Pruet's Histogram show an AFD is under 19 microns. That is longevity. Further Pruet will increase density, crip, handle and fineness. All of Pruet's EPD rankings are more than desirable, insuring definitive offspring improvement in 7 of 8 fiber traits. Not just a little improvement but significant improvement. If you have white animals with a decent histogram picture, breeding to Pruet can give you your next fiber champion. Pruet's actually has improved rankings in staple length and fiber weight over his sire. So, you're getting all of the fineness genetics of his sire but more improvement in these other important fleece traits making Pruet the real deal. Red Granite describes Pruet like this; "Standing on a strong and great frame alongside carrying a gorgeous bright crimp that has the BLING factor, he is a very exciting male to look at. Most importantly, his fleece remains very "fine" and retains extraordinary brightness, handle, and uniformity across his blanket. We would assume that all of those traits listed above would also be passed down to his offspring, after all that is what this exceptional sire line is known for doing…"

Description

It is time to keep our herd numbers down to levels for Dave and me to manage. For that reason, we are pricing some of our young girls to sell under market value. Rumor's Spring Eternal is one of those dams. She is densely fleeced soon to be 4-year-old pregnant maiden dam. Spring's dam carries one of the finest fleeces we have had on the farm. Spring is out Majestic's A Man Among Men, and she is bred to Our newest genetically gifted stud, Red Granite's Pruet by Red Granites Bad Boy. We purchased Pruet to add two fleece improvements, increased bundling density and longevity of fineness. Pruet's father Bad Boy's greatest fleece strength is his longevity of fineness. The cria from this pairing is bound to be improved over his dam’s fleece who is respectable in every trait. The genetics she carries and those she is bred to you cannot go wrong with the auction price. Springs EPDs are quite good. And the cria will be much better. Totally respectable values for a breeding dam. Her accuracies are only between >3. Here is what Sharon and Marc's remarks were about Pruet. "Standing on a strong and great frame alongside carrying a gorgeous bright crimp that has the BLING factor, he is a very exciting male to look at. Most importantly, his fleece remains very "fine" and retains extraordinary brightness, handle, and uniformity across his blanket. We would assume that all those traits listed above would also be passed down to his offspring, after all that is what this exceptional sire line is known for doing…"
