Onyx was a gentle soul; she had a soothing demeanor and was a pleasure to be around. She was a good mother to her 7 cria. Onyx was vigilant, constantly on alert for unknown activity that might threaten her herd and the first to issue an alarm call to elicit a response from the Great Pyrenees herd guardians. Her black fleece was excellent for use in textiles with a relaxed, low amplitude, low frequency crimp. The handle of her fleece was described as "tender". We use it for durable products including yarn and hand woven rugs.

No, Star is not a one eared alpaca, but she can give you some looks! Big and bold, Star is a sound healthy animal and a good mama. She was named for the white blaze in the middle of her forehead. Her finely crimped fleece is great for incorporation into textile products. It's dark brown luster adds wonderful accents to luxurious, very long lasting area rugs that we have used it in. Though Star has typical Chilean conformation, her ancestry includes strong Peruvian influences as well. Her two male cria inherited her quality fleece.
